We stayed in a Bay Deluxe room which was poolside. Lovely views of the sea, but possibly lacking a little privacy as people come & go past your lanai on the way to the pool & the beach. The curtains weren't designed for privacy, just interior design.
Otherwise, a lovely place to stay. The room was spacious & the bathroom was too. Comfortable furniture on the lanai too. Breakfast was a buffet with standard & local choices. Always something a little different & very good.
All the hotel staff were really excellent. So helpful with advice & organising trips, taxis, restaurants, car hire etc. They made everything very easy.
The hotel is a little isolated. The car hire option is easy from the hotel, so long as there is a vehicle available. It's not a huge walk into Scarborough (about 20 minutes), but in the middle of the day it can seem like it is! We walked back from a restaurant at night, and it all seemed safe.
The hotel beach isn't the biggest, but it's quiet, with a gently sloping sand. The next bay along has a slightly larger beach.
The Club Havana Restaurant (part of the hotel) was great for breakfast, but we'd struggle to give positive revues for dinner. The food was average (not bad) but a bit overpriced. Service was mixed!More
