Although this resort has a little less character and feels a bit more like a European holiday you cant fault the enthusiasm and energy of the staff. The resort has a great vibe, theres always a lot going on and the evening entertainment is really good fun. The burres are quite large with an ensuite which actually has a few minutes of hot water which is a rare luxuary on the islands. The downsides- food isn't great and there are no towels provided.

Well, I'll start with the positives: the reef out the front is great for snorkelling, your 'bure' has a verandah a few steps from the water and a bathroom, and the local staff are fabulous company. The resort is very run down and poorly operated. The food that costs money is dreadful. Guests should not have to pay for that. Eg breakfast one day was chocolate donuts (but just 'shells' with no filling) and that was it. When they ran out in 10 minutes, the breakfast choice was nothing. I bought stale crackers from the bar. There are no activities and there is a pool but it was very run down and dirty. Hey, if you are in the Yasawas travelling, you are very VERY lucky!!! But, maybe spend your $ elsewhere if you have a choice.

Room Tip: The mid range old bures are quirky!!! Quirky in a fun way with a great verandah. Full of flies, th...

I stayed here for two nights as part of a group. I stayed in a dorm room, which was all perfectly fine. The showers and toilets were in a building outside and they were fine too.

The staff were friendly and provided good entertainment for the evening. The cocktails were nice and the food was ok, but not outstanding.

The beach by the hotel was lovely and it's worth a walk to honeymoon beach because its beautiful.

I was pretty disappointed in this resort after staying at manta ray. My friend and I were backpacking the yasawas and this was our second island. We were in a dorm and as soon as we walked in the smell was horrific. It turned out later someone informed us that an animal had died in there a few days previously. How lovely. Also myself and two of my friends suffered from bed bugs here. The bathrooms were pretty hideous and only half the lights in the room worked. The second night we found a huge cockroach living with us.

The food was standard. I don't really think a plate of fried rice counts as lunch but for dinner it was three courses and the main meal was good chicken and lots of it. No one went hungry.

I didn't feel the staff were as attentive compared to my previous experience. It rained for a whole day and there was nothing to do but read in our smelly room.

The other thing that really bothered me was the flies. Even when sunbathing there were flies everywhere. Trying to eat outside was a nightmare.

Overall the whole place is pretty run down and needs a lift. When the sun isn't shining its quite a depressing place to be.

I stayed in korovou for 2 nights the accommodation is basic and smells of damp but is airy. The bathroom facilities are okay not the best. The island isn't as beautiful as the rest and I wasn't overly impressed about the beach which is also shared with white sandy beach but the staff are lovely a bit forgetful when serving food to say the least, the activities were fun and the staff joined in creating a good atmosphere and are very family orientated. I also had a massage which was lovely as it was situated right on the beach. There is swimming pool and church on site which you can attend on Sunday. The only downside is that when I was here the generators were down and so the power was often off which wasn't ideal when getting ready or sleeping! Also the food wasn't as good as the other islands but the cooking class was outstanding!

We spent two nights at this resort and had one of the stone-built deluxe accomodations. It was spacious, had a fridge and the staff at the restaurant was nice. That's where the positives stop. Staff at the reception was very unfriendly and disinterested, they unbeliveably charge you 10 dollars for providing towels in the bathroom and 15% extra if you want to pay by credit-card - nowhere else in Fiji (or in the world) did I encounter something similar. The food was the most expensive (98 Dollars per day per person) and the worst we had on our Fiji-trip by some distance. A miserable breakfast (instant coffee only) is followed by two set meals with the ever same ingredients. The restaurant is not open and airy but a muggy room lacking atmosphere. The garden looks shabby, the beach is not very convenient for swimming and house reef is less interesting than at other places (Octopus, Botaira, Nanuya, Blue Lagoon). Go somewhere else.
