It's great when you stumble across a fantastic resort - which you feel the need to share with other people!!!
We stayed 5 nights at Nanuya Island Resort - and it was fantastic. The lead up to the trip was easy - with well organised admin and seamless efficiency. Getting there was easy - jump on the:Yasawa Flyer (a big Cat) which takes you bunny hopping through the resorts to Nanuya - about a 4 hour trip.
Of the 8 bures - we stayed in the Treetop bures, and they were fantastic. Having had a squizz at the deluxe bures (which are on the same level as the main resort and closer to the beach) I'd still opt to go back and stay at the Tree Top bures as they had amazing sunsets, more privacy and all you'd want from your own little piece of paradise!
The food was stand out- fresh snapper cooked that day with cononunt and lime udon noodles, lobster pasta (freshly caught that morning), crab ravioli from the local fisherman (or crabman!) and some good wine and the essential Fiji Bitter to wash it all down.
We'd go back in a flash - with a great coral snorkelling area right off the beach, dive centre on site and easy welcoming company from Lance and the crew, N I R offered the "small resort size" experience with the extra touches that made it special and very memorable.
