“A slice of paradise”

The location is perfect with stunning scenery and crystal clear water perfect for snorkeling. The resort is very remote with only 12 bures so it maintains a relaxed and romantic atmosphere. The food (even vegetarian food) is excellent. I cannot say enough nice things about the staff, they were super friendly and helpful. In the past I had tried to learn diving but really panicked on certain tests. When the dive instructor realized that he helped me learn how to do those tests free of charge and even offered to allow me to use the stores dive equipment.
The only downside is the long time it takes to reach here from the port but in my opinion its well worth it.

Vinaka to all the staff that make this resort so fantastic. The location is perfect with stunning scenery, crystal clear water and remote location. There are only 12 bures so that the resort maintains its relaxed friendly atmosphere, the staff greet you by first name and the food was excellent. The new massage bure is in a perfect spot with a great selection of treatments.

We had an awesome time.

Room Tip: Tree top bures have great views.

I couldn't rate this place highly enough. It is a 5hr trip on the cat from Denerau but well worth it. The place is small, only 13 rooms and has a 'real' warm personal feel about it, the food is alsofantastic. A lot of these types of resort can be pretentious, cold and a bit fake. But the staff were relaxed and actually looked like they enjoyed working there which rubs off on you. The price of everything was also very reasonable. This place is purely to relax and get away from things not to do lots of activities. Not really for large familes. Resort also very clean, tidy and well looked after.

We stayed at Nanuya Island for 6 nights on our honeymoon. It was just perfect. The beach was absolutely beautiful, snorkelling is great if you're happy to swim around a little bit and look for the best spot. The sun beds / beach couchs were great. Sunset is amazing and it's very romantic to sit on the beach at night with the flambeaus on the beach. We stayed in a deluxe bure on the beach which was very convenient. You can just walk to the beach in 1 minute and can quickly go back to your bure if you forget something like sunglasses, sunscreen etc. Staff was extremly friendly and caring for the guests. George, the waiter was so nice. The food was extremly good, very high quality. We had excellent dinner every night, just try the catch of the day. The breakfast in comparison is a little too simple - they could improve that in comparison to dinner.

And we loved the two dogs who live on the island, so cute!

It was perfect for relaxing and for honeymooners. If you want to party, this is the wrong place. Between 9pm and 10pm most guests go to bed..

I did my open water diver at the diveshop closeby (Coral View), which was also great.

We would definitely go back again if it wasn't the other end of the world. We hope to be back one day, though. I would definitely recommed it! This is like heaven on hearth!

It's a 4.5 hr trip on the fast cat from Denerau but it's worth it.

It has the charm of an indigenous resort with the class of an excellent menu and great cooks.

It proved to be an excellent venue for the sunset beach wedding with the feast right there in the restaurant - whole pig on a spit, the works.

Guests who stayed on neighbouring islands (10 minutes away by runabout) came to love their long table meals and village people.

5 days of blissful celebration.

Room Tip: the bures up the hill have the best views and the least foot traffic ((other guests) and the walk up...

Another wonderful 8 days. Love this place and we were welcomed back with big smiles and wonderful to see everyone again. NIR is a real gem and love the peace and quiet. Thanks again Alfi and all the wonderful staff. See you all again in 2013. PS Uncle Sam...your meals are divine!!! and Remi the "The Cocktails are amazing", vinaka for the special ones you made me....

Room Tip: Definetly stay in the Tree Tope Bures if you can manage the steps. The views are worth it..

We had a very enjoyable & relaxing week on this beautiful island. The trip out to the island took 4 hours, which although i was unprepared for, it was beautiful. While on the island we relaxed in gorgeous Deluxe bures with shutters for windows, how unique! we walked around the island & stopped off at the site of the filming of "Blue Lagoon", oh how gorgeous it was. Staff are beautiful & they live on the island just down the path from you, they are friendly & the Karva is interesting!!!
We met some friendly guests too. It is a unique island with only very few accommodation bures. I am going back!

Room Tip: Deluxe bures are larger & not such a hike up the hill.
