Adriano Camping Village
Reviewed August 30, 2013

We stayed at Adriano Camping village in a bungalow (Delfino) the last ten days of August with our 1 year old daughter.

We found the camping very comfortable, it has everything you need. All the facilities you might need are there, it is not spotless or new, but it was more than fine for us.

Personnel was very friendly, if you ask for something they will always try to help out even if it is not a standard request.

The pool is great for families, a part of it is perfect for babies/toddlers, another part is for kids from around 3 years old (a little bit deeper) and then there is a section for adults. It is not possible to really swim there, but for relaxing purposes (and that`s what we came for) it is perfect. Same for the beach, the sea is very calm and shallow so it is safe for young children.

I read some complaints about mosquitoes on the camping and loads of seaweed in the sea. When we were there, there was very little seaweed, really not worth complaining about, but maybe it`s a seasonal thing. There were mosquitoes, mainly in the evening, but in the evening we said inside with windows open and mosquito nets closed.
We slept very well, but for heavier people the thin mattresses might be a problem.

We also enjoyed the surroundings, there are several world heritage sites in and around Ravenna worth visiting.

Room Tip: It is always a bit noisy around the pool, because of the music.

We stayed on this site in July,August 2013. It is a very large but well run site. The toilet facilities are plentiful, spacious and clean. There is a supermarket on site which sells most necessities. There is also a vegetable shop, small bazaar and small beauty salon/hairdresser.
They have a new pool complex which is very nice but is much much too small for the numbers using it. We spent one afternoon there but it was so crowded there was no room to move in the pool so we did not go back. Also there is a charge of 2euro per sun bed per day at the pool. There is no charge for parasols but too few of them. Since there is no shade around the pool a parasol is essential
So if you do not get one in the morning you will have no shade for the day.
Be warned!,, The campsite has a very enthusiastic animation team who make an announcement in 5 languages every morning at 10 am over a public address system placed around the site. This is unnecessary as the announcements are almost the same each day. Also it is loud raucous and intrusive.
The beach is a 5 minute walk away across the road. There are sunbeds for hire with a small area set aside for those who bring there own umbrellas with a stern warning telling you not to place sun beds in front of those for hire.
Overall this is a satisfactory site. It is not in the same class as those on the Venetian Riviera. While we had a pleasant stay there we would not return.

At the height of season I suspect this would be heaving - but in May, it was delightful. It was quiet, clean, with a lovely pool that only hardy brits like me dared to go in. It's a short walk from a delightful beach, and about a 30 minute drive into Ravenna. Great shop, reasonable restaurant. They had a great off-season offer. And they have dog showers!

This is a big camping site. If you want quietness then make sure you are away from the swimmingpool and entertainment area. Very nice pool complex. Our mobile home was from Homair and was clean with a nice terrace. I can recommend it.

Room Tip: Remember there is always noise from pool area, so if you want quietness then get something away from...
