We had booked a villa holiday over a year ago and the company cancelled on us the week before. We looked through vast sites and finally set our eyes upon Villa Pardal. Communication with Tracey was brilliant, she answered all queries and also advised us of local amenities and beaches etc.
Tracey arranged transfers for us which was very helpful, the villa is approx 40 mins from faro airport. Tracey also asked if we would like some shopping getting to get us by the first night as we arrived late and had 5 kids to feed. This was a god send.
The villa was very clean and modern, it also felt very safe with the alarm and shutters to the windows. The villa was spacious and the upstairs balcony was a really nice touch to the double bedroom.
The weather wasn't great when we stayed here however we didn't let it ruin our break, there was a barbeque outside and sheltered seating area in which we sat on a night whether it rained or not.
There was a supermarket within ten minute walk and also a few bars and restaurants. This wasn't a really lively place but had enough to keep us occupied. Perfect for families and those wanting a nice quiet holiday. To get to the busier places it was a ten minute taxi ride. The beach was also a 5/10 minute walk and really nice and clean, there were also a few café/restaurants on the beach.
We went to the zoo marine in day and this was really nice and the kids enjoyed it.
The maid came midweek to change our towels and offered to clean the villa too. The pool was a perfect size for out party of 7, the kids enjoyed it and there were sunbeds to lounge round the pool. There is also a washer in the garage which came in useful.
All in all this villa was lovely and would definitely visit again.
This is our second visit to Villa Pardal in 2 years. The location is perfect - set in a quiet cul de sac but near enough to walk to the excellent restaurants and beaches. Lorenco beach and restaurant being only 5 to 10 minutes walk from the Villa.
The villa itself is immaculate and has a lovely homely feel. The rooms are big and were more than ample for the four of us (especially 2 lads wanting their own space and a healthy wifi signal !!). The pool was a good size and the outside areas were well kept by the friendly gardener who we shared a beer with (nice chap).
Tracey was once again really helpful and brought us an unexpected welcome pack of essentials we needed (beer, wine, water etc). The outside covered sitting area was brilliant for dining in and the upstairs terrace lovely for sitting with a beer and watching to sunset. We spent more time at the villa than we would normally do on holiday due it being so nice.
We cannot fault anything about Villa Pardal and indeed Gale and will almost certainly be back. BIG thumbs up from us.
A house which offers everything you need and more.
Location, perfect for amenities and great beaches.
The house is spacious and has everything to hand.
Absolutely spotless, comfortable furniture and beds.
You won't be disappointed.
The villa is in a lovely location, the accommodation is perfect set in its own spacious plot with a terrific pool. In Gale' you are 5 minutes walking distance from the nearest beach, 10 mins from shops, restaurants and bars, all good quality. Tracey (manager) has been brilliant from initial booking through to the stay at Villa Pardal, this is our second stay here and it just gets better.
Absolutely everything was great!
First of all, Tracey was a star, great at communication and even came to visit us. Tracey was polite with a great sense of humour and care, and made us feel relaxed about our stay.
The pool was magnificent, and the rooms and cleanliness in the Villa were spot on. The balcony is a god send, you can sit there at night, watching the sun go down with no traffic as you are in a cul-de-sac.
The beach is a short walk away - the first beach you come to is left out of the cul-de-sac and rocky but lovely. You will need to walk through a path through the rocks to get to the bigger and better beach. The waves were amazing!
We didn't really eat out as the Villa was great, but there are a few restaurants nearby. We bought our groceries from Lidl and Aldi which is a short 10 minute drive away, much cheaper than the local Apolonia supermarket (although this is only a 10 minute walk). There is a Spar which is a 30 minute walk as well.
We can not wait to return - thank you Tracey
We stayed for 10 nights at Villa Pardal at the end of June 2016. Tracey organised the taxi transfers for us - they were good value at €70 for the return and the taxi drivers were very prompt and very friendly.
The villa is very well equipped with everything you need for a self-catering holiday and the pool and bbq are both excellent.
There is sun outside on the sun-terrace area all day until it sets!
The location is fantastic with beach-side and other local restaurants all a short walk away, as well as supermarkets and mini-markets. The Apollonia supermarket is great and has a very good variety of bbq food including fish.
The beach is a short 10 minute walk away and it is possible to walk along it for several miles, it is amazing!
We went to several restaurants and particularly recommend "Restaurant Por Do Sol" and The Tapas restaurant which are nearly next to each other - great food and really good value.
If you want to splash out a bit more then the beach-view restaurants are well worth a visit. We went to Pedras Ameralas and O Galeao and both were excellent.
Tracey (the Villa manager) was very good and even organised a birthday cake my for partner's 40th (which was on June 24th) after I asked her about it!
The wifi is excellent too!
We will definitely be back and are hoping to book for next year again very soon!
