Just minutes from downtown Nizza, Monferrato. This property is big and beautiful. Unfortunately,
after you walk through the huge lobby area, you have to turn lights on to walk up the stairs and hallways that lead to your room. The darkness doesn't give a warm, welcoming feeling. Our room was huge, beautiful and comfortable. We slept like babies! Honestly, we thought we were the only guests since we never saw other guests or heard other guests except at breakfast. The staff was very helpful to me in rearranging our travel plans since we were further away from Alba and Barolo than I realized. They also arranged for us to experience a truffle hunt! It was one of the highlights of our trip. The staff spoke some English and extended themselves in communicating with us.

Having read the reviews and seen this images we were expecting a wonderful place with excellent hosts..... The place is above average, but not fantastic. For us, the biggest issue waa the Very average staff! It was obvious they were just doing a job and had no real passion for what could be a wonderful place to stay.
On a positive, the location is great and handy for some wonderful vineyards - especially Gianluca Poggio in Castel Boglione. It is peaceful and wifi is free....

Room Tip: We had a standard double, but although ok... we were in a corner in what had one time been a staff r...

We spent a night here and really enjoyed the place. The staff was particularly friendly, and the lady at the reception spoke very good English and French. They had a wedding going on that night and our room was right next to the party, so we couldn't sleep. We asked for a different, more quiet room which they gave to us immediately. I thought this was very thoughtful. Wifi is free and the breakfast is good. We're thinking of coming back at some point.

This was our 3rd visit here, the staff as always are very helpful. Great location with stunning views overlooking the vineyards.
We hope to return in the Autumn for the truffle season.

The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfasts are great and so are the evening meals.
Great value all round.

This hotel is completely renovated, yet keeps its historic charm. It is located in the heart of the Piemonte region of Italy on the top of a hill with unbelievable views of the vineyards in all directions. The rooms have all modern conveniences, yet keep the local charm. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

Room Tip: All rooms enjoy the same solitude and decor.

We have been guest of this beautiful place just for one night, but we will be back for sure during spring or summer. The place is very quiet, easy to find, in Canelli (AT)
and it offers also a great cuisine. Food is excellent, personnel very kind and the place is romantic. There is a very nice pool, that was obviusly closed (winter time is not the perfect time to use it), moreover, the place is on a hill, surrounded by vineyards. Great stay, perfect food, strategic place to visit the wine caves (they call them the wine cathedrals). The region can offer a lot, and it is worthy to have a trip in this area for three reasons: wine, food, the beautiful country.

We came to the region to visit long term friends, who recommended and arranged our stay at this agritourismo. It was a pleasant surprise to find large clean rooms supported by friendly helpful staff at the end of the long dirt road. Our short stay was great; we will be back.
