We have eaten at The Fish Pot every year since it opened and every year I ask for no peppers to be in the food - I am very allergic to them - and every year I end up hooking them out of the salad which is served after the first course. It would be lovely to have a different menu too as it has remained pretty much the same each year. The service is usally pretty efficient but last week it was very slow indeed and somewhat inefficient. A pity as it was a great place to go when they started up. There are few good restaurants in this area - the alternatives being extremely expensive (and not necessarily that wonderful) - or providing authentic local dishes which can be great but not everyone wants cow heel to eat - this is one of the most popular. The owners have now roofed over the outside terrace which a big improvement and means you don't have to rush inside when it rains!
