All I can say is that this hotel is just average. Was there for couple days for a business meeting which was held at the hotel's conference room. The food was the same for two days. Not much variety. It was ok, but the pumpkin choka, was by far the best I have ever eaten. The location is good and you have access to the beach about 2 mins from the hotel. The hotel is a bit run down is all I can say just basic amenities. The t.v remote was not working. I reported it but they did not even bother to check it.
Hopefully my company does not choose the venue again until they upgrade. The room had great views though.

Room Tip: Top room on the western side.

If the Virgin brochure was anything to go by, we were in for a treat! A lovely, secluded beach, a gorgeous hotel with all kinds of amenities that would suit our two teenage boys.
Sadly this was not the case.....yes, we got an upgrade from Garden view to Sea view (almost all the rooms are Sea view anyway) but the staff tried to make out they were doing us a big favour. The bedrooms were basic and very shabby, not refurbished since the 1980s I should imagine? Throughout our entire stay of 1 week, the pool bar was never open and neither was the fish restaurant which was described as being open "5 nights a week". The only place to get food was at the main restaurant. It was buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner and the food was boring, repetitive and basically not very nice. It wasn't even Caribbean cuisine most of the time! I really look forward to nice food on holiday so this was a MAJOR disappointment. Fortunately there was a superb restaurant nearby and we ate there some nights. The beach bar, the Buccaneer's Grill, is part of the hotel and so therefore you would expect on a fully inclusive package there would be no charge! WRONG! They kept trying to charge us even though we were wearing our "fully-inclusive wristbands"! Lunch in the main restaurant was not served 4 days out of 7 because they had " a problem with the kitchens" so where else were we supposed to eat??? Finally, there was no sign of any water sport activities, no kayaks, boats etc - the hut was closed the entire holiday. This was disappointing for the boys. Oh, and I wasn't too sure about the pool either....it was very small and its cleanliness left a lot to be desired. All in all, sorry Grafton Beach but I wouldn't stay there again.

Unspeakably bad. Run down and running down, scruffy, worn, various kinds of mechanical equipment visible round every corner. Rambling, empty. Food: indifferent. Prices: outrageously high. Fine position near the beach, but that counts for nothing. Most of the staff are simply APPALLING. They all need to attend a customer service course. No politeness, no civilty - the approach of a guest to the desk suggests that they might have to do something, help in some way - and their faces show it. At least two girls at the reception desk said precisely NOTHING as I approached - just a slight turning of the head, as if to say "What the bloody hell do you want?". Whatever happened to: "Good afternoon, sir, can I help you?"?
This looks like a hotel that is running out of steam. How it ever won a "Best Hotel" award in 2006 is beyond me! Thank goodness I only spent three nights there.

Room Tip: Coose a room at a different hotel...

We are a family of four, two thirty something parents with two small boys. We came here to let the kids have some fun in the resort environment with pools and playgrounds. The kids pool was nice and it was good being close to the real beach. The first impression when entering the room was that its standard left something to be wanted. A towel rack hanging halfway off the wall is an example. The breakfast felt quite lacking, unfilled juice containers well into the serving period and other small things made it a relief when we moved on after two nights' stay.

Grafton beach is not the worst, but I would not say it is the best hotel i have been to, the staff was very friendly, but lacked professionalism, the food was deplorable, not much variety for a "buffet" the rooms are tacky and old, very disappointing compared to the "dream" they were selling on these websites, and the swim up bar was not even opened, in fact it looked like it wasnt opened in a while, but different people may find differently, this is my opinion. My boyfriend and i will never come back here, i would recommend their neighbors le grand courlan or turtle beach hotel.

Room Tip: top floor has the BEST views!

Decided to experience Tobago hospitality over the Christmas week. Stay was memorable and Hotel staff was generally quite pleasant and helpful. Enjoyed walks on the beach and liming at the Beach front Bar. Recommend taking the All Inclusive package with Ocean Front room as we did. Good Tobago cuisine generally. Food and Breverage Manager Mr. Singh, was quite helpful and friendly. Quite a slowdown from the pace in Trinidad over the XMas period. What a relaxing getaway.
Will stay at Grafton next Christmas most likely.

Cheers to the Hotel Staff.

Stayed for a few days in Nov 2012, it was very quiet, hardly any guests probably because of their poor ratings now. Rooms were clean but bathrooms in need of upgrade. Food selections at the daily buffet was limited. No entertainment. It's a basic hotel if that's what you're looking for; nothing about it luxurious or fancy.
