We went in the night for dinner for a birthday celebration with two sisters. The place is extremly dark. There is no view at night (naturally) but the restaurant itself is darkkkk. There was a cat running everywhere on the walls and unused tables. The waiter was cold and unfriendly. There were about two other groups of dinners and the atmosphere was just sad, dark, cold, unwelcoming. The food was not special...yet expensive....just dont go....its like dinning in a black mountain....yuck

Good Day
Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the problems you experienced at our restaurant.
We take great care to ensure that our guests have a great dining experience; we have clearly not succeeded in meeting your expectations.
There is now increased the lighting in the Pavilion, and we have trained our staff in delivering good customer service. The cat is no longer on the property.
We hope that you will visit us again and see the improvements we have made.

I'm not quite sure what the previous reviewer meant by no atmosphere. I guess if you're looking for a "scene" you won't find that here, but the bar area is large enough to accomodate quite a crowd. We went last night for an early dinner and I was completely impressed with the way the bar and dining area are organized. Outdoor seating with incredible views and excellent food made for a wonderful time. We've been in Tobago for almost 3 weeks now and this was by far the most elegant place we've dined. Service was good, especially by Tobago standards. Highly recommended!

Always a delight to stop here for lunch after a shopping in the lowlands. Short well prepared lunch menu with light bites and larger dishes depending how hungry you are. Fantastic views and good quality selection of wines.

It was our anniversary so we were looking forward to a great evening but unfortunately there were only two other diners so there was no atmosphere at all. It was a Thursday which is a changeover day on the island maybe that's why. The food was good though and because there were only 4 diners the waiter was attentive. We would go back but not alone.

We dined at The Pavilion Restaurant on our first night in Tobago. We got there after sunset but you really can imagine the amazing view from the restaurant....I wish I had reached there earlier to take it in. We arrived a bit early for our reservation but given that most of the guests there were having drinks and we were the only diners at the time, we were promptly seated and attended to.

Our waitress was pleasant but a tad clueless when it came to understanding the menu. We asked what was the "catch of the day' and she took the menu and read out the what was written under catch of the day i.e....what it came with....so we asked in another way.....what fish is being served? But it took a few more tries before she understood what we were asking.

The food choice we made were very good....the starters of callaloo and crab cake....and the main course of lamb and it turns out that the catch of the day was king fish...which was really tasty. There were only 2 desserts offered but what we chose was nice.

The problem came when time to pay...we were told that the credit card machine was not working. I offered to pay with a TT cheque but that was not acceptable....they wanted cash but we did not have that amount on us....so my dining companion stood his ground....so the waitress went back in to attempt another try, and the card machine worked this time.

This was a mar on a relatively nice dinner and I believe that given there were guests before us (granted we seemed to be the only diners that night)...they should have known that the machine was not working that evening and should have informed us before we were seated.
