Went back to Flor de Lotus following our visit last year. Just the two of us in the first week of our holiday and went back with friends the following week. That seafood pizza is still as good! I ordered the same pizza on both occasions I couldn't eat it all so they put it in a box for us and we ate it in the airport on the way home. Lovely thin crusts done in a proper pizza oven. We had two salads as well. Can't fault it!. We spoke little Spanish but they were friendly and helpful.

We spent 9 days in Puntagorda in November and visited this restaurant twice (I'm sure it's actually called Flor de Lotus). The owner speaks very little English and we speak very little Spanish but he was very welcoming and helpful. On our first visit, we were not very adventurous and had the Margerita pizza and the Pepperoni pizza but both were excellent. The wood-burning pizza oven is in the restaurant itself and the pizzas are very authentic. My husband ordered a small carafe of house red but found that a bit rough for his taste.

On our second visit, we were slightly more adventurous and chose the Flor de Lotus pizza (with artichokes and onions) and the Pimiento (pepper) pizza, plus garlic bread (which is actually a pizza rather than the baguette you get in the UK). Again, the food was excellent and towards the end of our meal, the owner and his family sat down on an adjacent table to eat their meal.

Lovely atmosphere and good value for money. The choice of background music is interesting (mostly 1960s/1970s heavy rock) but it adds a quirky touch. We would definitely go back when we next visit La Palma.

We had seen this restaurant during out stay in Puntagorda and went there on the last night of our holiday about three weeks ago. Fortunately we asked another pair of diners how big the pizzas were and we ordered a green salad and a seafood pizza and a little jug of the house wine. The seafood pizza had mussels and clams in their shells and had a lovely thin base and it was plenty for the two of us despite my husband having a big appetite!. It was the best seafood pizza I have ever had and I have sampled quite a few in my time. The bill came to 25 Euros including the tip. We are going back to Puntagorda next year and will definately return to For de Lotus.
