food was very good - a bit overpriced possibly but nice presentation - I had the steak filet and it was very good- the speed of service was very slow though even though it was not busy when we arrived - it was several minutes before someone came to the table

Room tip: did not stay at hotel-only dined

This is definitely a place to go to! But be aware that you will almost certainly need to have a reservation. It is extremely popular, and indeed, can have people waiting in the hope of getting a table! The back part of the restaurant is very attractive and not as noisy as the front part. Nevertheless, the whole atmosphere was a lively one, with a great buzz. The food, especially the fish, was excellent, and there is a very good wine list as well as the staple Guinness. The service was excellent too, a mostly young staff but apparently well-trained, and very engaging.

Stayed 2 nights at what I first thought oh no it's a pub. Well don't be fooled this is a great place to stay, extremely comfortable, queen bed, body wash, a welcome gift both days at our front door of tea, coffee and biscuits. There are 3 bars very close to one another so you will be spoilt for choice. The food is absolutely delicious and you are a short drive from all the attractions. Breakfast was superb and the best is you only have to go downstairs for a drink. Wifi is only in one room downstairs but it's good to grab yourself a wine and check your emails. Very happy and very comfortable thank you.

We stayed two nights B/B in August. The food was excellent, service was excellent. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Loved the home made biscuits with hospitality tray. The chowder was fantastic and the halibut was superb. I can recommend the home made black pudding, absolutely delicious. Would return.
