Ive eaten here mostly on the benches outside on a sunny day but this trip ate inside on two occasions; chowder to die for (by day) and a fabulous 4 course meal on Sarturday night, Fab pub, lovely staff, great food, makes us really fond of Liscannor.

Booked a room here very last minute for our trip to Clare. Could not fault the room, spotlessly clean, nicely decorated, very comfortable bed, homemade cookies and a Nespresso machine in the room. Very powerful shower. Great value for money and so near the Cliffs of Moher. Would highly recommend.

Room tip: Room 5 was lovely, didn't have a great view but had everything you needed

I have never seen an order of Fish and Chips this big. This piece of fish was huge crispy and tasty. Enough for at least 2 people. We had a big group of 16 guys and it did not fluster the staff a bit. Seafood Platter and other seafood were all very good! Highly Recommend!!!

Stopped here for lunch after visiting The Cliffs of Moher. So glad we did! Excellent seafood of every kind on the menu (steaks etc. were on the menu, too, but who would eat meat when you have terrific seafood to choose from). My wife had the prawn sandwich and I had the fried scampi. Both came with chips and we washed that down with pints of lager. Huge portions! One of the best meals we had on our trip to Ireland! The service was great as well. It is a fun, rustic, seaside atmosphere. Everyone in the place was friendly, both staff and diners. It is a great place for families and there are rooms to rent above the restaurant. (Sorry, I just scrolled down and it looks like I am on the hotel review site instead of the restaurant. Oh well, this is my restaurant review; hope it gets posted.)

We had probably one of our best meals during our whole vacation in Ireland at Vaughans Anchor Inn! The menu had excellent choices of local food as did the wine list. The food was amazing and our meals were served fresh and hot!
