We stopped in Liscannor for a night on our way home from a holiday in Kerry. The area is beautiful and it was a lovely evening with a nice buzz in the restaurant.
We were 3 adults and our 2 year old child. Majority of the food was very tasty but I unimpressed with the Chowder which was very bland and had no mussels or prawns in that we could see.
Asked for a bowl of plain pasta with no sauce for my 2 year old and we were charged €7.95 for same....Have to say I thought this was not good practice as our bill had already come to almost €150 without the baby meal! Its the little things!!

Had lunch here on our way from Shannon to Spiddal. The pub has a lot of character, the Guinness was great & the fish lovely & fresh.

We stopped for a quick bite on our way to Cliffs of Moher. Fresh hand made sauces, jams and such available for purchase and a seafood menu sure to please. We enjoyed our lunch next to the old coal fire

Stopped by this place for lunch yesterday as we had heard lots of great things about it however we both came away unhappy with our visit. We ordered the seafood chowder, which was more like a broth, not very creamy at all and with very little variety of fish just lots of white fish with one piece of salmon. We also ordered the crab claws - which were totally overpriced for what we actually received and lacked any taste. For dessert we had the sticky toffee pudding which was lovely, my partner ordered the baked Alaska which was disappointing - with banana ice cream and the base tasted like it had been frozen for weeks! The service we received was excellent, the staff were all exceptionally friendly however the food just was not up to scratch at all. Will not be returning.

Gastropub with the emphasis on fish and shellfish. Food is very nice, but a bit expensive. The service was fair, with a lot of young and presumably untrained staff, who apparently forgot about taking orders and then forgot items asked for. We sat in the outdoor area at the rear of the premises and it is in need of some decoration and a few nice touches, given the prices charged. The dinner menu is not displayed; one has to ask for it. I presume the prices are too shocking!
