“St. Mary of Ireland”
Reviewed October 12, 2010

We arrived in Dublin to find that the b@b we booked was closed down and we had no place to stay in Dublin as every place in town was booked. I called Mary and explained our predicament, she shifted some bookings and took us in early. Her wonderful husband drove eight miles in the rain to pick all four of us up at 9pm, let us sleep twelve hours and then fed us. Mary, Donal and Daniel treated us as family for five days and made our visit to her home the best part of our trip. We loved their home and would recommend staying here to everyone. We will cherish the time spent with the Whites at their home always

We hated to leave! I wish we had planned our trip so as to stay here longer. The view was lovely and the area has lots to see.

The food and hospitality were great. We were inconvenienced by a first-time ever bike race which was going to close roads in the area for several hours. Our hostess got up early to see that we all had a proper breakfast so we could be on our way long before the race blocked our travels.

We will never forget the wonderful & warm hospitality we received from Mary & Dornan during our 4 night stay! They were always on hand to give us information on the surrounding area. Mary booked our ferry tickets for our visit to the Aran Island of Inishmoor where we took a pony & trap excursion around the island - fantastic day! Dornan gave us a scenic route to take around The Burren. Mary gave us a lift in her car to the Cliffs of Moher, only a mile away, but to save us walking up the hill.

Our room was spotlessly clean with breathtaking views, excellent breakfast which was served in the dining room overlooking the beautiful garden, tea & coffee always available
in the afternoon if required and a comfortable sitting room to use in the evening. (but don't miss the Irish music in Doolin or Lisdoonvarna!)

What fantastic value for money! I can guarantee Mary will give ye a warm welcome.

It is lovely B&B, clean, nicely looking and with good breakfast. Mary, the owner, was great host, she even offered to drive us to The Cliffs so we could be there while weather was nice.
Would recommend it to anyone.

The Atlantic View Bed and Breakfast is a beautiful home located in the countryside. The owners, Mary White and her family were warm, geniune and friendly people. Mary assisted us with finding our way around town and with making reservations for the local activities. She was most wonderful in helping us find our way from the Atlantic View Bed and Breakfast to our next destination in Dublin. Without her I am not sure we would have found our way so easily. Breakfast was wonderful with great views of the area. Mary has a beautiful home which is very neat and clean. Beautiful woodwork and located on a country road great for walking without any traffic. Atlantic View B&B is great if you are looking for peace and quiet in the countryside but yet close to town . I would definitely recomment this lovely bed and breakfast and hope to go back some time. I can't say enough good things about Mary and her family. We had a great time. Thanks for everything.

Clean and quiet B&B just outside of Liscannor in County Clare. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. A great place to base your exploration of the Cliffs of Moher and western County Clare.

My husband and I spent 3 nights here and enjoyed it thoroughly. Our room was comfortable and spotless with a lovely view of the Atlantic and countryside. Our closest neighbors were the cows and birds! We sat out front or in the sunny breakfast room for reading and leisure.
Mary and her husband were extremely accommodating, and their young red-headed son is adorable. We were plied with tea each afternoon and served a hearty breakfast each morning. We walked to the Cliffs (although the road is very narrow for pedestrians), which were stellar! Mary made reservations for us (finding us a great deal) for a ferry from Doolin to the Aran Islands, where we took a buggy ride around Inishmoor. What a glorious day! On our last day, we drove around the Burren. From the Visitor's Center, we took a fascinating guided walk with Tony Kirby.
We enjoyed music in Doolin pubs in the evening.
Mary could not have made us feel more welcome. We visited with the family, but we also enjoyed the quiet and privacy of this charming home. I'd recommend this home and location to anyone who enjoys quiet and beauty.
