Carrig House
Ranked #5 of 9 Liscannor B&B and Inns

My destination was the Cliffs of Moher. Lehinch, Liscannor and Doolin are nearby towns offering places to stay. I had no reservation. Saw so many Bed & Breakfast facilities on the main road. Following the signs for Carrig House, I made my first stop there. I was greeted by Shirely. She showed me the room and offered a reasonable room rate. The room was nicely decorated and had coffee and Tea making facilities. Bathroom was clean and had all the toiletaries !! There was a large flat screen TV in the Living/Drawing room with so many channels that the guests can watch. Private parking on the premises.
Pleasant and scenic surroundings and the Cliffs of Moher close by.
Both Maurice and Shirely were very helpful and provided useful information. After visiting the Cliffs and having dinner in nearby Lehinch, I had a very restful night followed by a breakfast which was better than what you get in a five star hotel. There were so many items. Home made breads, cakes and the works. Shirely cooked the breakfast per my request and it was served in style. She even had home made Salsa that was better than what I get here in Texas !! Needless to say
that I ate more than I should have !!
Their warm hospitality will stay in my memory for ever!

From the very beginning of our 3 day stay we felt incredibly well taken care of in all respects.
The breakfast is elaborate and worthy of a grand hotel, the host and his very friendly wife
would ask you time and again if you are satisfied or if they can do something else for you.
The lounge was nicely decorated and we could watch tv as if we were at home. The host and his wife came checking if we wanted snacks or tea or anything else ending up serving
whole trays of quality nibbbbles and pots of tea,and even ice cube chilled Baileys!!
Our room was clean and had good beds. So what can one wish more for? It is a very good point of departure to visit county Clare and the nearby Cliffs of Moher. We would stay again!

We stayed one night, without reservation. We arrived late in the evening and we were warmly welcomed by the owner. The room was nice and clean. Good sleep without a noise, and the car was in the private parking of the guesthouse. We had a very huge irish breakfast in the morning and nice talk with the owners, who gave us a lot of suggestions regarding what to do&see around on our trip. A really lovely stay, highly recommended, and the place is a few miles from the marvellous cliffs of Moher.

Me and my family summarized this B&B as the best during our trip.
Shierly is the best host we ever met, so warm, and her breakfest was one of the greatest we have ever had. she hosted us us very warm, assited us in all our needs. The place itself is great, excelent location, very close to the cliffs of moher and not far from doolin city. My kids loved shierly and said the would come back to that place.

We stayed 2 nights at Carrig House and were very comfortable. Shirley and Maurice were great hosts and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Our room was light and airy with great views. Beds were comfortable and the peace and quiet ensured a good night's sleep. The breakfasts were the best we had in Ireland. The Cliffs of Moher are very close as are a number of lovely coastal villages. We would definitely go back to Carrig House.

Next time we will stay longer at carrig house. If you are looking for a comfortable and warm B&B - this is the best choice. Maurice and Shirley are very friendly and helpful. The rooms were warm (heated) and very clean. The house is situated on the outskirts of Liscannor, so there is no noise-level from the street. We had a nice view to the ocean (out of our window).

The breakfast at Carrig House was the best we got on our trip - bacon, sausages,
fresh fruit-salad, porridge - just to name a small selection.

We can strongly recommend Carrig House to everybody.
