Owner description: Capo Vaticano, the last strip of land before the Straits of Messina, thrusts dramatically from the sea, its white rocks battered and eroded by centuries of breakers that have taught sailors to respect and fear this fascinating, almost mysterious place. Capo Vaticano its majestically enthroned in a turquoise sea, as it dominates the archipelago of the Aeolian Islands to the north-west, the Gulf of to the north-east, to the south-west the Gulf of Gioia Tauro and, beyond, the Straits of Messina culminating in Mount Etna. This part of Calabria, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, contains the ancient fascination of a thousand years of history. The sea that caresses the snow-white beaches and the wildness of the rocks make visitors lose their sense of time, as it conceals beneath its waves the secrets of ancient shipwrecks, the relics of which have frequently been discovered. Life in the area is dominated by fishing; its waters are visited by the great swordfish, tuna, blue sharks etc.

Stunning view from the Cliff overlooking the Bay of Capo Vaticano! When you drive to the lighthouse you will nejoy a breathtaking view when you watch the coastline of Capo Vaticano. The sea is really clear blue and you will see a wonderfull nature, full of cactus, tropical plants, bougainville and palms. Friendly cats will join you while watching there and you can buy handmade products by wood and fresh vegetables and fruits.

If you got to the Faro Capo Vaticano you will get a spectacular view of the water. It's at the tip of the peak. The customer service is not so great, there's a bathroom but there wasn't any soap and the beverage choices are very limited. The view blows you away, when you get there head all the way to the right and there's a small hiking trail around the hill where you can get some great photos.

If you are visiting the Tropea region, you have to visit Capo Vaticano Bay. It is lovely, the water and the landscape are beautiful. You have both options: public and private beach, Form there you can also take small ferries for 1 day trip to the Eolie islands.
