The kids had a great time making their chocolate bunny. Helpful member of staff (though it looks like we got the nice local girl not her grumpy side kick).
Lovely well priced chocolate for the rest of us (baffled by comments about it being pricey - it's locally made an Ireland is generally a little more expensive).
Recommended for the kids!
(Didn't bother with the factory tour as think the kids were fine scoffing chocolates)!

I and 2 of my children and one of their friends went to the Chocolate Factory and all found it boring and very disappointing. They spent the majority of time sitting down watching a video of where cocoa comes from and being given a talk about it. While parts of it were a little interesting (for adults), it went on far too long for the kids who were getting bored and irritable. Plus, the hard wooden seats were very uncomfortable. when it came to making our own chocolate cat, we got to put some white chocolate dots on it.... that was it! I was expecting to see some of the chocolate factory or something or at least have a little more involvement in actually making our own chocolate moulded cat. The staff were not particularly friendly and our 6 yr olds certificate at the end of it had the wrong surname. I will admit the chocolate is gorgeous but NOT AT ALL worth the 50 EURO we spent on the fee to get in or the 45 mins long drive to get there! Not only did we spend a fortune, but we had to listen to the kids give out about their disappointment. It was not fair at all on them when they (and I) were expecting so much more!!
A total waste of our money! Will not go back or recommend it to anyone!!!

We stopped here during our drive from Dublin to Kilkenny. With a bit of advance planning, we were able to take part in a Chocolate Workshop where my girls learned about the history and different types of chocolate. While the chocolate tasting was fun, they really enjoyed the chance to make their own chocolate bears!

The shop has a cozy cafe where you can enjoy tea, coffee or hot chocolate, as well as chocolates, ice cream or biscuits (which are also made on the premises).

A large playground outside is great for the kids if they have been riding for a long time- or if they just need to run off the sweets before getting back in the car.

Definitely a fun stop for the entire family!

Popped in for a quick coffee and spent nearly two hours coffee was great but cakes and chocolate to die for. Spoke to the owner about how the place came to be and who he supplied. Just great to see chocolate is do many great shapes Easter bunnies rugby balls handbags purses to name but a few. It was just pleasant lots of kids in the playground outside but a lovely place to be. Great for a break outside the norm.
