“Really very good.”
Reviewed December 3, 2013

We have family in County Cork who we like to visit and when we do, this is our accommodation of choice. The houses are great. Spacious, well equipped and furnished to a good standard. The location is very good. Not too far from Cork city and just off the main road to Killarney should you wish to do a wee bit touring of Cork and Kerry. The views are great, especially on a sunny day!

The clubhouse serves great food all day, every day. The staff are excellent and nothing is too much trouble. There is always someone on hand to address any problems.

The golf course - you'd have to ask my husband about that! He's enjoyed a few rounds there!

Would highly recommend. Great value and far better than staying in a hotel, in my opinion.

Looking forward to our next stay.

We (family of 5 with 3 teenage boys) stayed here for 7 nights in April and were very happy with the accommodation. The house is well layed out, large and very clean (which is a big deal for me). Perfect location as well. Nice and quiet even though there were lots of people around. We will be back! My only complaint is that when we arrived the house was freezing cold- it took quite a while to warm it up. The following day all was well and we were nice and toasty.

Room Tip: I believe all the houses are the same. Some face the golf course but we stayed on the opposite side...

we never stayed there. And here's the reason why :
We did agree on a pricing by the phone as we were planning on staying for 3 months. On arrival to pay the deposit, the price had changed with a difference of 150euros per months. I find this dishonest and disappointing.
Please do make sure that you have a written confirmation of your booking and pricing before to engage with them.

Carnie,

I appologise about the misunderstanding in relation to the cost of the rental property at Lee Valley. We did e-mail another party in your group on the 1st of November outlining the rental cost and all other details relating to the property. The price is fixed at a certain level for this length of rental. Once again I do appologise for any misunderstanding. Please contact me at the property if you would like to discuss.

We spent 3 weeks at one of the houses on a family trip from Australia. The Luxary and comfort were welcome after our long flights, the staff were very friendly and the food and ambience at the Clashanure bar were second to none.

We stayed at one of the houses and we couldn't have been happier. I went with my friends family and my husband and I brought our 2yr old. Even though that ment there were 4 adults and 4 children in one house, it worked really well. Enough room for everyone. Beds very comfortable, house modern, clean and well layed out.
Location is good if you don't mind driving. Cork City is 15mis away, Kinsale about 20 mins. Shops in Ballincollig and Douglas easily accessed.

I attended a wedding here on Friday last and it was amazing. The setting was exceptional, we were on the patio having drinks before the ceremony looking out over the golf course and we really could have been anywhere in the world. The blessing took place in a marquee on the terrace and the meal was served in the dining room which was beautifully decorated with white table linen and chair covers. Simple candle and twig centerpieces were subtle but effective in creating a lovely atmosphere and were admired by all. The food was without fault, served on time on hot plates, no long boring gaps between courses and the quality was excellent. Congratulations to the chef on duty that day, it can't be easy maintaining that standard for 130 diners. All in all a fantastic venue for a wedding made even better by the brilliant staff and management who catered to our every need. We didn't stay overnight but apparently the accommodation is excellent also.

We stayed in one of these houses for 7 nights and it was a most enjoyable break.

The houses are set next to a beautiful golf course, and although this is not a sport that I play, it was a lovely peaceful setting, with a great 19th hole!! The food and drink where both very good, and it was a nice place to watch sky sports while having a few Guinness. All members of staff where really friendly and a credit to the place.

The houses themselves are finished to a very high standard, and you do get a real feel of luxury.

The golf course and houses are family-owned, and Paul (one of the family) went out of his way to make us feel welcome, giving great advice of places to visit.

I would definitely recommend here to anyone wishing to visit this area of Ireland.
