I stayed as a solo hiker in a clean, good-sized double room with great views of the locally plentiful rain! Lovely welcome from Margaret Coogan with tea and cake, and a great and reasonably priced dinner, with a choice of four main courses. Clean, comfortable, with friendly dogs... everything you want, really. It's ideal for the Wicklow Way - just 150 yards uphill from it - but I do agree wasn't easy to find: it's not in Moyne and I had to flag down a passing motorist for directions! Well worth it when you do find it, though. Ask re location in advance.

We spent 2 nights at Kyle farmhouse and found it very comfortable and the breakfast excellent. We were travelling with our dog and while some B&Bs say they are dog friendly mostly they are just tolerated. Not so at Kyle farmhouse. We were greeted on arrival by the 2 farm dogs who got on very well with our grumpy old sheepdog and he was made as welcome as us. Thank you very much to Margaret and Hugh for your hospitality. We hope to stay again one day.

We only had a one-night stay at Kyle Farmhouse and were exhausted upon arrival after an overnight flight from Canada to Dublin. The hostess was welcoming us to rooms which were nicely decorated and very clean. My uncle enjoyed an early morning walk to find the barn and check out the dairy milking operation. Breakfast was plentiful.

Our only problem was a bit of trouble finding the location. It was supposed to be well sign-posted but, obviously, we missed the signs. At the next town, the locals were unfamiliar with Kyle. They spoke with our hostess directly by telephone then gave me directions, which again, were still confusing and did not take us directly there.

Autumn 2011 was my second stay at Kyle Farm - several days each time, separated by 5 years - and both times I left wishing that I could stay longer. The location is fabulous - right on Wicklow Way for both serious walkers and people wanting to easily experience the beauty of the Wicklow Mountains. The B & B itself is very comfortable - quiet with good beds, good food and WONDERFUL hospitality. Margaret and Hugh are generous of their time and local knowledge and really go the extra mile for their guests. Example: Margaret knew we were researching Irish ancestors and one evening sought us out in the coffee lounge with an internet print-out. On her own, she'd searched the Irish census for more information on our people. We left feeling Margaret was a friend and Kyle Farm our Irish home.

My sister and I spent four days at the Kyle farmhouse B&B. We were very sorry when the time came for us to leave!

We had been welcomed with good conversation and a lovely cup of tea and biscuit when we arrived. That warmth and caring continued for our entire stay. Margaret and Hugh were always very helpful-always willing to help us find our way and sometimes even helping us get there.

The food was excellent, the rooms lovely, the beds excellent and the showers great. We also enjoyed the sitting room outfitted with games and information. It was very homey. With the amazingly beautiful setting and the proximity of a loop of Wicklow Way, Kyle farmhouse had everything we were looking for.

We hope to be able to visit again.
