“Expensive for some people....$100 very simple lunch for two.”

Beautiful beach and lovely looking restaurant. However, the meal was sparse and the atmosphere felt rather cloistered and formal. Perhaps we prefer the more authentic Caribbean vibe. It's more fun. I felt like we should be whispering..... I guess maybe we prefer a more laid back atmosphere...... The owner and staff were very nice.
If you prefer more of a formal setting, then Jackie O's is a great choice for you. I can understand why people like it. The food is good but, I don't like having to eat lobster with a knife and folk. I guess I'm a bit of a neanderthal. At another seaside restaurant.... the surf was splashing almost on our table and I ate with my fingers - dipping the gorgeous lobster in the butter. The other troublesome thing is that lobster was not on the menu however three people did receive a lobster lunch. Different strokes for different folks.

“Great location with a great beach”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2013

We had lunch with some friends and it was really nice. At first glance when you drive in you may be concerned but don't be. The place is really nice and they serve good food. They have a wonderful beach where you can enjoy the rest of your wine after lunch and the only reason it was not excellent is that the service got a little slow when business picked up. Other than that it is worth the trip.

“Amazing setting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 13, 2013

Went for a great lunch with some friends in one of the loveliest beachfront setting. This lovely New England style restaurant was decorated beautifully with loads of individual pieces that created a stunning lunchtime venue. There were 6 adults and 4 kids and the staff were really friendly and offered to make something kid friendly as the menu didn't really appeal to my 2 sons. We started with a Porn Star, which is a great cocktail of Prosecco, Vodka and passion fruit, whilst seating On the beach, waiting for our table. Lunch was delicious although not huge portions but all you need for lunch. Only negative is that they charged for 10 US dollars per sun lounger if you choose to chill out by the beach. This I think is not right when you eat from the restaurant. I would recommend that if you eat then you don't get charged. That said, great lunch.

“Wow what a view!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2013

We have known this restaurant for many years when it was previously called Gibsons and have always loved it. Now Jackie has taken it over (April 12) it has got even better. The restaurant is right on the beach and now has a chic beach feel, decorated and furnished to a wonderful taste and design . The menu has greatly improved, although being typically British, we still miss the Sunday roasts that Gibsons used to do!! It has a stunning location on one of the best beaches on the island with wonderful views over to Montserrat. Totally relaxing and would recommend this to everyone that visits the island.

“Nearly perfect”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2013

We had an early lunch at Jackie O's, having received a very positive recommendation from a local business person. The setting on the beach was lovely, the interior bright, pretty and casual. We found the service professional , and food very good indeed if a tad pricey. The only off note was a loud rugby match being broadcast to an enthusiastic group of eight or so, on a big screen TV overhanging the room. We felt it detracted from what would have been a perfect lunch in a serene and pleasant spot.
