Where to start?
We loved Sheer Rocks so much. We stayed upstairs at Cocobay Resort (which is sublime) and popped down for a cocktail. We loved it so much we booked for dinner. All in all we had 2 dinners and one tapas lunch here, and a few visits for sunset cocktails in-between.
Sheer Rocks is magical. It is unpretentious and informal. The food, as everybody below me has mentioned, is divine. The lemon tart being my favourite dessert ever, so light, tart and fresh, with a sweet crisp shortcrust. Just amazing, i could write a whole review solely on the lemon tart.... but i won't.
The service is so friendly, the girls are great, very sweet. They are not classically trained, so it is unfussy, the concept is more relaxed and fun, the wine is left on the table in a cool ice bag, which i loved. The dining room is to die for with every table having a sea view. We asked for a front table (as everyone recommends) but the restaurant was fully booked and it wasn't possible. Before we had dessert we booked to come back on our last night so they got us a four poster bed for cocktails before we sat at sunset.
So i have covered the food and i have covered the service, but i feel there is something i missed about Sheer Rocks. There is something magical about this restaurant. The bartender, Charles, will remember what you drank the first time you met. He is amazing and his drinks are too, Mojito's being the favourite, made with local mint, lime and rum, they even come with a rum drenched sugar cane to chew on. The manager Nelly is lovely and the chef, Alex is very charming. We even got to meet the "boss" Kate (Alex's wife and co-owner) on the Sunday for lunch. Although she doesn't work everyday, you can feel her little touches everywhere.
Sunday they do tapas, the menu is large with lots of great dishes, too many to mention. We came at 2pm and took a 4-poster bed. We ended up meeting lots of regulars (this is their day) and staying until 8pm when they closed. This was the best day of the holiday, we had so much fun enjoying the view and drinking cocktails and rose listening to the cool music (very ibiza).
Just book it, just go, it's so worth it. It's not cheap but not expensive and certainly worth every penny, you would pay double for anything similar in Europe. Top tip, chat to the team, get to know them and go back, they will look after you.
