First impression was nice place friendly staff, dealt with us with the minimum of fuss. The bell boy showed us to our room and explained everything even down to how the safe worked, or so we thought. The switch for the hot water system had been covered by the hand towels, so the first night was a cold wash until we asked why there was no hot water. The air con unit groaned every time it was turned on. The electricity supply cut out several times day and night too.
Breakfast was something else, a poor affair with very little choice of either local or western tastes.
Overall it is a neat little place to stay, with it's own beach front,( although the attending staff
could do with a lesson in attentivness) .
Value for money? On balance probably but the little things have left an impresion of slight disappointment.

We loved almost everything with our 10 days stay at this hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely beach- the best on Long beach according to us. Wonderful shadow from the Palms. Clean and big rooms. Silence at night. A wonderful garden. The only negative thing I can come up with is the breakfast beeing a bit boring after a week since the bread in Vietnam have absolutly no taste. We also liked the Vietnamese coming here on the weekend taking their baths in the evening. Wiifi working perfect. AC too. When a blouse of our daughter disappeared in the laundery, a telephonecall later it was back. The staff didn´t talk very good english but yet they solved everything to our satisfaction. There were also a hole lots of good restaurants only a few minutes walk from the hotel. We rented motorbikes just outside the hotel.

Stayed here for three days at the end of a 2wk trip from Hanoi down. We had two bungalows one for us and one for our two boys age 19 and 20yrs. Our bungalow 419 was set back behind the beachfront row but still had beachviews, one thing is that when you sit in the deckchairs provided on your deck, its too low and you can't see over the railings to the nice view. The room was clean and there was plenty of room, The shower is just a hand held one over the bath, but it did the job. Our boys bungalow was 426 and looked out into a amenities block, not that they cared but I would not have liked that. The beach was clean and we always had a choice of sunloungers either sun or shade. There were hundreds of little clear jellyfish that gave a slight sting and left little red dots that you could see on the white body bits, but it wasn't an issue to stop enjoying the warm water. The pool was looking a bit tired, but with a nice beach we only used it once.We found the staff really friendly - all of them. One of the boys had his birthday while we were there and he received flowers, wine and a big birthday cake. We ate lunch down at the beach restuarant and were happy with the meals, the drinks are still cheap. We ate in the main restuarant one night and had lovely meals. It is only a $1 taxi ride(too hot to walk) to the nightmarket for the most amazing seafood meals ever. Just outside the resort you can hire motorbikes for $10US for the whole day, which we did and had a great time, most of the roads are unsealed and you come back covered in red dust. You can get $4US beach massages 1hr( not professional but still good) or the resorts spa offers all treatments at very reasoalbe prices. I had a 1hr facial for $20US and it was bliss. As far as value for money goes I'm not sure how it compares as it was part of our package deal but we found it a relaxing spot - oh yeh apart from the Japanese tourists that like to start the day on the beach and playing volleyball rather loudly at 6am.

The bungalows are very pleasant with peaceful and tranquil evenings. The beach is not crowded and no hawkers bothering us. lazing on the beach with the occasional swim is very nice at this location. The staff were pleasant but obviously lacked training. A seafood chowder I ordered was brought from the kitchen from the other end of the resort by a waiter just holding edges of cheap soup bowl. what a mess. a small matter but indicative - no one will come to your lounger and ask if you would like to order anything. we didn't see anyone use the swimming pool the 3 days we were there - basic with blue tiles throughout. The breakfast at the main restaurant near restaurant was nowhere near the standard we would expect for $120 per night. In fact I would rate this hotel very good or higher if the price was lower. having been in SE Asia for many years this is a $70 hotel

Room Tip: 412 is a front bungalow right on beach and at end of row

We stayed in a room in the main building, not a bungalow and the room was fine if a bit tired. Couple of odd things about the room

- Glass panal over the door let loads of light in at night from the corridor with no way of shutting it out. We ended up taping a couple of free maps over it which helped

- Despite being full of rather ugly heavy wooded furniture which these sort of places seem to favour, there was virtually nowhere to put clothes..

The location is great, at the nothern end of Long Beach, this seems to be the nicer end as the beach gets thinner and dirtier the further south you get and the ammount of litter and dogs increases. The beach in front of the hotel gets cleaned each morning. We didn't have any problem getting beds on the beach but I could see that being a problem over the peak Christmas/New Year weeks as there aren't that many sun beds

Breakfast was ok, certainly plenty of food, but nothing that special.

Another plus point of the hotel is it's proximity to lots of places to eat within a 5 minute walk

I do think it's probably a bit over priced but worth a look if you can get a reasonable deal. The hotel was far from full when we left on 13 Jan. Walking up and negotiating seems to be the best approach
