“Hospitality like nowhere else”
Reviewed June 30, 2014

We stayed here last week and Pierre was so helpful. I was trying to book an overnight train trip and he after 10pm took us into his father's study and sorted it out and printed us the ticket. The house is fantastic and we had a great view over the Tuscan countryside ( Lily room). We ate momma's cooking every night (3 nights) as it was so good and for 30 euros including wine and dessert wine and biscotti at the end it was a steal.
Pierre also took our washed clothes hung it on the line and when we returned it was folded on our bed. They made you feel like part of the family and gave us a bottle of momma's homemade apricot jam to take with us.
There was always travel advice and a library of travel books in the communal sitting room for your use during your stay. A truly memorable visit and Pierre is second to none as a host. Thank you both for a great time in Tuscany and for sharing your family home with us.

Minutes by car from Sienna's city center (enter through Porta Tufi and park in Il Campo parking lot), you can find the best hospitality and great food in a lovely country setting at La Sanitissima. Freshly baked goods for breakfast (the hostess gets up three hours before you to bake everything from scratch), scrumptious and generous dinner, with great chianti, you will arrive as a stranger and leave as family wanting to come back as soon as you can. Definitely a highlight of our trip in Tuscany.

Wow, what a find! My wife and I were very lucky to have stumbled across this B&B online when we were looking for a place to stay near Sienna for 2 nights. We did not get just a nice big room, we got a whole wing of a 400 year old home with more antiques and character than we could believe. On top of that the mother and 2 sons who hosted us were so welcoming and hospitable we did not want to leave.
Luckily, we read on their site that they would prepare a meal if asked. Given that we spent most of the day driving we were happy to have a meal prepared for us at their home. Oh my god, WHAT A MEAL! It was 4 courses and much of it came from their garden or was prepared fresh, such as the pasta and baking products. It was absolutely fabulous and an unbelievable deal - 30 euros each for 4 courses and an excellent bottle of wine.
Mama, Maria Theresa is a great cook, book in for dinner for sure. The breakfast is fresh pastries, fruit salad, homemade jams, incredibly tasty omlette, fresh squeezed juice, coffee.....etc. Do not stay here if you are not prepared to eat a lot. Erik and Pierre, the sons, speak excellent english and are very helpful for pretty much anything you want.
I can not say enough good things about the family and the B&B. We feel very lucky to have had this experience on what was already an awesome trip to Italy.

We just returned from Tenuta la Santissima two days ago. In a word it is AMAZING... 5 stars doesn't even touch how wonderful this family, home, food, hospitality, surrounds are. I will start with the food....
Don't even THINK about eating dinner out. Unlike other B&B's, this food is varied everyday, it is gourmet and delivered on beautiful dishes, in a dining room filled with antiques. For breakfast you will receive ~ four dishes or more, excellent coffee made to order (cappuccino/espresso), home baked tarts, breads, jam...AND for dinner - amazing antipasti with locally grown herbs/veggies, local wines, EXCELLENT courses, desserts to die for, all followed by liquor, coffee...we sat for > 2 hours with classical music playing on the CD player in the sitting room....Dinner is 30 EURO a person! Mama Theresa even made us a special couscous dinner that was the BEST we'd ever had....

Next, the family...
What a sincere, intelligent, hospitable, good humored family runs this amazing 'find'. Mama Theresa cooks the food and will let you into her kitchen - sharing her recipes and smiles with you. Pierre served us - he speaks excellent English, French and, of course Italian. You really want to ask him to join you at the table - he will provide you with all sorts of information about the area and is just a wonderful guy. Erik makes the pasta! It's SO GOOD!!

The place...
This home is full of antiques, it is spotlessly clean, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. You feel like you are in a five star hotel, taken care of - with the quiet, serene beauty of Tuscany surrounding you.

This is the BEST PLACE ON EARTH. While there we booked a return trip in the fall to see the beauty of Tuscany in September (and to eat some more!).

Room Tip: There are only two rooms with another 'kids' room available (without a bathroom) for familie...

A warm welcome, fabulous meals, and lively conversations with the lovely, kind, generous family made it a pleasure to be here. This is a beautiful place as well. It is clean and spacious, with traditional tile floors and wood beam ceilings, and it is warmly decorated with paintings and books. The view is of a garden, green rolling hills, and Siena in the distance. Quiet and serene, yet within easy reach of the towns. I recommend it highly!

We stayed with Marie, Pierre and Eric for 3 nights in March, 2014 and the stay here was by far the highlight of our trip to Italy. We stayed in multiple other locations during the trip (Venice, Florence and Rome) but the stay here in the country side was the best.

We stayed in the Lily room which was comfortable, clean and secluded. Perfect. The Italian country side is so relaxing and combined with the ideal weather and hospitality of our hosts this is a highly recommended getaway for any couple.

The optional dinners are strongly recommended with the food being the best we had on the entire trip all restaurants included. As others have mentioned it is also a learning experience as Pierre and Eric translate how traditional Italian food is made and intended to be enjoyed. Thank you for the guidance on how to properly prepare our egg noodles at home!

Leaving was very difficult as the whole family made us feel at home, it was actually a very emotional departure. I would strongly recommend this B&B to my family and friends but give them warning to pack extra clothes as they will not want to leave. We have already agreed to go back and stay there on our next Italy vacation. Thank you for all the unconditional love and gratitude, we will never forget this experience.

My family and I stayed 3 nights with the Scialoj family and it just felt like we were visiting our family in Tuscany. Pierre and Marie Therese make us feel so comfortable, that we didn´t want to leave. As I´m writing this review I´m already missing them so much, you know that feeling when something so good just end.
You all read about Therese abilities in the Kitchen, but it´s so difficult to express in words what you experience having dinner at her table, the italians really care about the food and this was one of the best dinners in all our trip.
I recommend a 100% Tenuta La Santissima, the rooms were large, the bathrooms too, they put an eye on every detail.
The location was excellent if you want to travel across Tuscany. A little difficult to arrive the first time, the GPS took us to another address, but Pierre went to pick us up.
