Upon our arrival, we were offered a welcoming glass of prosecco and snacks to relax and get comfortable at our Tuscan farmhouse retreat. We opted for the family style dinner the first night and were so impressed with Marie-Therese's wonderful offerings that we stayed in each evening to enjoy her succelent offerings each night. Some of the most delicious food we had during our three week Italian trip included apertifs with snacks, appetizers, main course and desserts along with wonderful dinner wines and lemoncello. "Roll me out the door" full, just a great way to end our daily Tuscan wanderings. The farmhouse was a ten minute drive to Siena.
Pierre, Marie-Therese's oldest, was a great help (as he spoke very good English) in giving us directions and advice as to our choices of areas to visit. We visied San Gimiganano and took an excellant tour of the Chianti region starting in Greve and ended back at the farmhouse six hours later. Thankfully, another feast was in store and we did not need to go out searching for a restaurant.
We asked Marie-Therese where we could find a laundramat. Our hostess gladly offered to take care of this for us. When we told her how much we had, she said no problem, just bring it to her. That next evening when we returned from touring, we saw our clean clothes on the line drying in the Tuscan sun. The fresh air smell in our clean ironed clothes was amazing, something that really surprised us.
Overall, our three day stay at this B & B was beyond our expectations. We were treated royally and would gladly return in the future.

Room Tip: With only two rooms, we felt the extra money for the larger room (more like a suite) was definately...

We spent five nights at this very special bed and breakfast, just outside of Siena. It was definitely the most memorable part of our two week holiday in Italy. The accommodations are beautiful and spacious. The hosts are the warmest and loveliest people I have ever met! The breakfasts were just incredible! Marie is one of the most talented chefs I have encountered. Everything that came out of her kitchen was so delicious!! We also had two dinners there, which were better than anything in a restaurant! You feel so taken care of there!

The locale was perfect for us. We were close to Siena, as well as an easy drive around Tuscany. I was very sad to leave!

We highly recommend this inn to anyone wanting an authentic, lovely Tuscan holiday experience!

Room Tip: We thought the larger room was best!

Fantastic place to stay in Tuscany. It was abut 15 minutes outside of Siena. Very clean. Very friendly. Great service. The food was fantastic. The rooms were very big. I recommend dinner! They did have pets if anyone has allergies. We kept the bedroom door shut to keep out the cat. Dinner was adjusted for allergies. What a wonderful trip.

My wife and I have just returned from a week at Tenuta la Santissima and have an absolute fantastic holiday. Expectations were high having read encouraging reviews but we were not disappointed in any way.
We arrived earlier than expected on the Saturday and were met by Marie, Eric and Pierre who showed us to our fabulous room with marvellous views over the Tuscan scenery and the towers of Sienna in the distance. We were offered fresh water and beer before we ventured off to the first of Eric's lunchtime restaurant recommendations. We had dinner in Marie's fantastic dinning room on the first evening, the quality and attention to detail can only be compared to the ultimate fine dinning experience. Our second experience of dining at Tenuta la Santissama we were joined by the entire family and had a truly wonderful experience that started with antipasto and Campari and finished in the early hours with fine deserts and wines to match.
It's a job to know how things could get any better, Eric's knowledge of where to visits, routes to take, which restaurants to enjoy local quality food (even made our reservations for us). Marie's ultimate freshly cooked breakfasts would set anyone up for the day.
Hard to summarise what a fabulous time we had, just to say we arrived with a hand shake and left with hugs and kisses....... Eventually left a week later at 5am. Didn't want breakfast but Marie was having none of it! Coffee, savouries and cakes all freshly baked! Having visited many fine hotels and destinations we can honestly say, "it does not get better than this"!
Oh! Margo the dog is an absolute darling!

This place is very special. It has the utmost family feel, offering the best of countryside's surroundings, views, hospitality and most of all great food! Every day we were delighted by the breakfasts the mother would cook us. We even asked to have dinner with the family and really felt like family around the table! The sons speak good english and were very warm and open. Thank you again for welcoming Dennis and I to your home!

Would highly recommend this experience to everyone!

This was definitely the highlight of our honeymoon in Italy. We stayed here for 5 nights. From the minute we arrived we felt very welcome. By the end, we felt like part of the family! As soon as we arrived, Pierre (Marie's son) fixed us a snack (prosciutto, tomatoes and artichokes from the garden, cheese, and bread) with some wine. The tomatoes are like nothing I've tasted before...so sweet and delicious! Marie was up at 5AM every morning preparing us breakfast - which was different every morning (one morning, for example, we had homemade pineapple cake, homemade crepes with cheese, tomatoes, and basil, breads with homemade jams, prosciutto and other hams, and of course, cappuccinos). Unbelievable. And of course, as many other reviews have mentioned, everyone should stay for dinner at least once. Best meal we had on our entire trip!

The entire family was incredibly accommodating and generous. For example, we were planning on getting around by bus, but Pierre found us a car for 40 Euros/day at his local mechanic and got us a GPS. This worked out much better as we were able to visit multiple towns in one day.

I particularly liked the location of this bed and breakfast. It was close to the cities, yet far enough that we could enjoy the beautiful Tuscan countryside. This, I think, is really what Tuscany is all about. The medieval towns we visited were beautiful, but it was still nice to get away from all the tourists at the end of the day and feel like we were actually living the typical Tuscan lifestyle.

I can't say enough nice things about this bed and breakfast and this wonderful family! I really really hope to go back in the next few years!!

Everything is fantastic, it is already without doubt because I found this solution by case on tripadvisor, I've recommended to 2 of my gril friends in June, they told me it was the best memory for the trip in Italy. Then I sent other 2 families, they remain so satisfied for the kindness, good food, surrounding, the story and bike tour on the Tuscany hills and everything......
I'm so happy to make the right choose for my friends!
I havn't been there personally, I have only talked several time with the owner for organize the trip, I got the the pictures of these friends, and I'm sure that I’ll have a journey there with other friends which are already thinking about!
