Lovely stroll round the winter gardens. Genuine collection of plants that are at their visual best in winter. All the better for the sunshine. Photographers paradise.

Tranquility only distributed by the sound of screaming children on scooters. Incidentally, even well behaved dogs on leads are banned.

We love a visit to Anglesey Abbey, plenty of outside space for the kids to run around and the play area is at the far end of the site, so makes sure you get a good walk as well as play time for the kids! The house is really interesting and the staff friendly and informative. Great events are held all year round. The mill is particularly interesting and you can climb up the ladders and see it in action, then buy some flour! Cafe is expensive but the food is excellent. Winter garden is lovely for the colder months and the snowdrops are beautiful.

We visited during the Tinsel and tweed event and really enjoyed the beautiful trees and christmassy feel in the house. staff were friendly and welcoming and the whole place had a very homely feel. A lovely start to the Christmas period, put is in a very Festive mood.
Winter garden was really great. Nice to see a garden with interest at this time of year.

The National Trust probably do this a lot around the country but the display at Anglesey Abbey this Christmas was outstanding. The grounds are beautiful at all seasons but the atmosphere on this night was magical. Sweet treats, coffee and mulled wine were available and the walk around was wonderful. The event was well organised and very family friendly; lots of small children in wellies having a ball. Strongly recommended for a visit.

Having this place just 15 minutes away is great. Today we wandered through the woods, following the path looping round to the house and finished the morning with coffee and sandwiches in the cafe. Always busy always something new to see.
