Stunning views, very good food, no loud music in the restaurant but music from the 60's and 70's not blasting out. Good accommodation. Helpful and convivial owners. It is a gem to be preserved and shared.

We ate in the restaurant when we visited the b and b for a wee break. Myself and my husband both work in restaurants and eat out all the time and not much 'wow's' us anymore. But this place impressed us so much that we have booked another break to come back.
They had a set menu on for around £22 and it was great value compared to what we are used to in Glasgow.
The scallops and mussels were fantastic as was my partridge and my husbands pork. The desserts (cheesecake and a chocolatey thing) were also delicious.
I'm confused why people are willing to pay £11 at a chain restaurant/pub for something out of the freezer and then comment that the fresh, yummy food at the galley is expensive. Freshly made food with good ingredients costs money.
I'd highly recommend to go here for dinner (or the night if you can afford it). Sit by the fire and enjoy your evening!

The main dining area has an amazing view, the food is very good and complimented with a great wine list. The bar is well stocked with fine ales.

My partner and I stayed for one night on the 22.12.12 and could find no fault. The room was excellent and included a fantastic huge corner bath. The food excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful and we even had the pleasure of Christmas Carol singing by the locals in the public bar. We payed the extra to have a room with a view and we were not disappointed (only the typical Scottish weather let us down). We would definately recommend to family and friends and hope we can stay there again soon. Many thanks for a pre-Christmas break that was most enjoyable.
