Yes, if you Gift Aid the ticket price, it is valid for a whole year so you and the museum both benefit. Glad you enjoyed your visit to the museum and hope you'll be able to get the value out of your ticket with a return visit.

“Kilmartin House Museum”

I have to declare an interest as I live above the museum and enjoy living in the village. The cafe is a goid place to sit and enjoy having a good coffee and cake, particularly on a wet and wild day in Western Argyll. The museum is a space where the landscape and archeology is considered and the role of the folks who have lived in the Glen for 5,000 years is considered. The Church next door has some ancient grave and amazing carved gravestones. Stop, wander and enjoy

“Small local museum”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 22, 2013

Kilmartin House Museum was recommended to us by our B&B hosts - we had not heard of it. As we were driving in that direction we decided to call in and were glad that we did. Though small, there was an interesting collection and useful explanations of the local standing stones were provided. The tea room was very welcome and the view was pleasing despite the wet day. One surprise was the variety offered in the shop. It was quite expansive for such a small place. We would recommend a visit if you are driving through the area of Kilmartin.

Glad you managed to find us. This part of Argyll is not widely known although people who do find it tend to return again and again. We stock our shop with a wide range of books and art and crafts by local artists so it's a good place for unique, handcrafted items.

“Well worth a visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2013

There are three reasons to visit Kilmartin House Museum.

The first is the exceptional tea room with some really good food and cakes and really friendly staff. Adequate (but not luxury) toilets.

The second is an engrossing and well thought out museum.

The third is a well stocked shop with everything from postcard and gifts to toys and books.

This is an idea stop when travelling south from Oban (about 20 miles).

Plenty of parking.

There is a small fee for the museum but access to the tea room and shop is free (you buy museum tickets from the shop).
