The rooms are ok, but is I little bit to cold in time of year, but the breakfast is very varied and enough. The staff is not so nice at the first impression but at the end are friendly and nice. The internet work ok.

Having found ourselves stranded at a fuel station in Frankenland in the soaking rain, rather than settling for a bland motel, we looked for the nearest hotel away from the motorway.

Hotel Gruner Baum did not disappoint. The staff are friendly, helpful, communicative and entertaining all of our requests. The food is good, the ambience inspiring and the rooms clean and spacious.

The one thing missing (and the reason for the missing star in my review) is wifi reception in our room. We were given the beautiful room 31, the apartment for four adults and a child of nine years old. Unfortunately, wifi reception there is nonexistent and we had to walk to the corridor near to the reception desk to be able to use the Internet.

Nonetheless, that did solve our predicament and since our stay was about the experience and not about wifi or Internet, we had a wonderful experience and I recommend the hotel to everyone!

Its a family owned hotel next to the church in the middle of the village Pommersfelden. We slept there between Christmas and New Year. The room was quite big and well furnished. The bad room was big engouh, with a shower. Both rooms were clean and for our needs ok. The price is a bit to high. The restaurant is quite good. The menue is modern and change from time to time. Unforunately you will not find the real franconian food there. If you really want to eat franconian food, go somewhere else. Would recommend to come there for your lunch or dinner. In the summer time you can find a place outside under the trees.
