“very unfriendly receptionist and dirty room”
Reviewed January 28, 2013

there was dust on furnitures, killed insects on wall,
the worst was the behevior of the receptionist.
Also the room was with no view underground,
we asked from the receptionist if we can change room and she was
very unfriendly. the bathtub was blocked so it was really hard to do a bath there.
i think they must control there stuff more often.
i am from cyprus, and for sure i will never go there again.

The view from this remote hotel in the mountains is absolutely magnificent. The hotel consists of big, spacious suites with a large bed and a bath tub. All rooms have heating + air conditioner so the temperature is never a concern - there's even heating next to the bath tub. Breakfast was quite good and there was a great variety, although not everything was tasty, but still there was always plenty of hot & cold food and most of it was also good. Pity there is no indoor pool and obviously the outdoor pool is closed in the winter. The only real hotel in the area but still a great choice and very good value for the money. I would recommend this hotel if you're into ski or romantic getaways in an area with beautiful remote villages, full with colors and culture.

Room Tip: From what I could see, all rooms' windows face the direction of the parking lot and entrance to...

We stayed in Rodon for the New Year's Break. Overall a good place to relax and see the nearby villages of Pitsillia Area.

The rooms are large for a 3 star hotel, I would give it a 4 star. Kept clean, I witnessed the cleaning lady moping the floor (still wet when I got back to get my wallet). Nice common areas with a large fireplace in the cafeteria area, and a very cosy bar. I have to say I found drinks to be very expensive, a coffee is €3.5 whereas in the area the average price was €2.5 and a shot of chivas was charged at €7.50!!!

The breakfast is served in a large restaurant on the ground floor and there is a very good variety and good food quality as well.

Being a mountain resort I must stress on the plus side that they keep it warm throughout at all times.

The gym is of a very good standard. The jacuzzi however has a very bad smell and is charged extra. When my wife complained about the indeed very bad smell she was told "ok we will close it"

On the negative,i would expect at least a kettle for having a coffee in the room.

Overall staying at the hotel was a pleasant experience despite the obvious improvements needed. I would recommend it to people seeking a relaxation break and also for families with children.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms 201 or near as there is a constant smell from the kitchen beneath.

It is difficult to fault the accommodation at this hotel. The location is gorgeous - marvellous views all around and there is plenty of secure parking. It is a large hotel and very nicely furnished. A massive lounge area with many sofas and chairs, a large log fire, big outside terrace, piano bar, several restaurants etc. Our room (115) was fantastic. On a corner with a massive wraparound terrace with amazing views in three directions. The room itself was spacious, tastefully furnished. Massive bed which was comforatble. Large bathroom. Fridge. All you could want. And for about £45 for 2 b&b a very good price. My only disappointment was with the food. We had read that it was a very good buffet breakfast and dinner and not worth driving out into the village for anything else. Possibly due to the very low occupancy in the hotel when we stayed, neither meal was a buffet. Dinner was from a smallish menu and was extremely average to be honest served in a chilly dining room with one other couple. My trout was very overcooked, although tasty enough. Breakfast next morning was also disappointing. Bacon was barely warm and floppy, the sausages were actually frankfurters and were stone cold. Eggs were fine. Coffee was from a machine. Not the apex.. So, difficult. I would stay here again but I probably wouldnt eat dinner there again unless it was more like other people have reported.

This is a wonderful Hotel, we only stayed one night. We sat and watched the sunset from the terrace with a gin and tonic it was just amazing.
Our room was quite large with a balcony and overlooked the garden area, the evening meal was buffet style hot and cold, plenty of it too.
Breakfast the next morning was hot and cold buffet, so much to choose from!
Agros is a lovely place, if you have time take a walk down to the first set of restaurants and supermarket. Or take the car right down into the village, park up and walk around, the locals are very friendly.

Having made our forth visit to this hotel it is even better than before as it now has excellent unsecured free wifi throughout the hotel They have 6 large rooms fully fitted for disabled people like myself. The bathroom has a wheel in shower and plenty of support rails. The switches and plug sockets are at wheelchair hight and there is plenty of space to move around in a wheelchair. The staff are very helpful and the whole hotel is accessible in a wheelchair. The lift is large enough for either a wheelchair or an electric buggy. Unlike many hotels the room has good balcony and view. So often the so called disabled room is one that is not popular with other guest and is not properly fitted out. This is one to recommend to any disabled traveller to Cyprus who wants to visit the Troodos mountains. I have to bring a memory foam mattress for the sake of my Knee but all else is well catered for.

Room Tip: If you are disabled be sure to make this clear on booking so that you have one of the 6 specially ad...

This must be our 4th visit to Rodon since we moved to Cyprus. On our first visit we discussed we hope in a courteous way how much easier it would be to have a wheel in shower in their disabled adjusted rooms than a shower over the bath.

We were delighted not only on our next visit that the rooms had been refurbished but that all the disabled rooms have spacious wheel in showers, but also have good sized balconies with lovely mountain views (we have experienced dark, no balcony rooms i.e. hard to sell in a number of 4 & 5 star hotels here!) So many hotels in Cyprus offer only 1 or at most 2 rooms, so we consider this the best hotel for our comfort in the Troodos area.

They have also been very accommodating regarding food allergy problems when we eat from the buffet. The food is mostly Cypriot so not good for chips with everything diners - but of a good standard.

This is a very restful place to stay with plenty to explore in the local area. they have entertainments on Saturday evenings.

Room Tip: disabled adjusted room 208 is near but not right next to the lift.
