This was our first time to Barbados and the first time we rented a holiday home. Seagrass was recommended to us and we were not disappointed. Seagrass is very clean, comfortable and cozy. We felt totally safe. the neighbourhood is quiet and the location to the beach, The Gap and the main road to get the bus is excellent all within walking distance.

Everything you need to make our holiday comfortable was provided.

A lovely house that contributed to making our stay in Barbados a memorable holiday.

“My Memorable Barbados experience”

I have just returned from a wonderful 10 day stay at Seagrass and would certainly recommend. The destination was ideal in the sense that it was within walking distance to the gap to enjoy the facilities but far enough not to be affected by the clubs and bars on the busier part of the gap. Parking is easy around the property but if you fancy jumping on the local bus, it is a five minute walk away and to the main road. The buses are plentiful as the small Zr's vie for trade and will get you straight into Bridgetown/ Oistens/ Miami Beach and more for for only 2 BD.

You have not experienced Barbados until you have experienced the bus service and watched a 15 seater turn into a 20 seater before your eyes. all good fun.

Dover Beach was on our doorstep but the calmest beaches were Brownes beach and Miami Beach.

Seagrass was a home from home with all round facilities to cater for all of our needs. It was surprisingly spacious. Unfortunately,we were fresh meat for the mosquitoes and whilst the widows were protected by mesh, the doors were not. I will certainly take more protection next time.

Indeed, there will be a next time. I do plan to return at some time next year with family

Thank you for this review! It does sound like you immersed yourself in the culture and all that Barbados has to offer. It is unfortunate that there are more mousquitos in October and November. We are actually having magnetic screens installed on the doors in the next few weeks so when you return, you will have no problem at all! You are more than welcome back very soon!

My friends and I stayed here Labor Day weekend and it was great. There were enough rooms for us all and even better there were three bathrooms. The room with the futon is a bit hot during the day since nothing downstairs have AC but it seem to cool off at night. We kept the door open during the day to get some breeze but then mosquitoes will fly in especially with the standing water by the door to wash your feet. We had to dump the water to avoid mosquitoes. Also, there seemed to be ants in the 1st floor bathroom. Not sure how they were getting in...maybe the window being open.

They provide you with just enough towels for the people staying in the house along with a beach towel. They do not provide any extra...so being there for a few days..let's just say our towels were no longer white. I suggest bringing Tide pods or something to wash the towels during your stay. Make sure you bring some because you would have to pay an arm, leg, and your first born child for anything at the store down the street from the house.

They only provided the basics..towels, kitchen utensils, a bar of soap in each bathroom, and one roll of toilet paper. I suggest as I have found on a few rental properties on the island to provide guest with a starter pack..coffee, eggs, butter, a pack of toilet paper, small thing of laundry detergent, 2 fruitees or bottled water, salt bread, and cheese. I think people would appreciate it and would make them feel special for the amount of money paid.

Overall...the house fit our needs and we would recommend everyone to stay. It is at the perfect location. A block from Dover Beach, down the street from my favorite restaurant Rude Boys...EVERYONE MUST GO THERE, a 4 min walk to St. Lawrence Gap to party. It was great!!! Can't wait to come again.

Thanks!

Thank you for your feedback! Sorry about the ants. We have never heard that before. We do have the house sprayed monthly with an Eco friendly solution. We avoid heavy harmful chemicals so I guess some of the hardier bugs may survive! Also it's very important in the tropics to never leave food out. The ants will definitely find it!
We appreciate your other comments and will look to see what improvements we can make. Please come again soon!

We came to Barbados for my bachelorette party and stayed at this place for the duration of our stay. They were very professional and attended to all our needs prior to us even getting there. They arranged for someone (David) to pick us up from the airport despite our arrival time being at 3am! He was on time and ready to assist as soon as we stepped out of the airport. The actual home itself was beautiful. It was very homey and had everything you would need. My only negative is that there was no pool however with the beach being steps away, it didn't matter. The property representative told us all the hot spots on the island and helped to ensure that we had a great time. There is really nothing bad I can say about this place. I would definitely stay there again WHEN I go back to that gorgeous island. It is also steps away from a lot of restaurants and bars in St Lawrence Gap. It was just an amazing place that was very affordable and an amazing trip.

“Amazing home away from home”
Reviewed May 28, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

This was our first time visiting Barbados. Me and my 3 girlfriends were there for 5 days to celebrate my birthday. We have nothing but good things to say about Seagrass. The property was clean, well equiped and perfect for our vacation. Close to the beaches and the restaurants in the Gap, this home is absolute perfection.

The rooms are very spacious and equipped with A/C and ceiling fan, cable tv in the living room, washer/dryer/dishwasher for convenience, nice and quiet outside patio for morning breakfast or latenight dinners/lounging. I was also lucky enough to see a passing green monkey one morning, while sipping on my coffee :-)

I would definitely return to Seagrass for another amazing vacation in Barbados!

Thank you so much for this wonderful experience,

Melissa

Our stay at Seagrass was lovely! You couldn't be any closer to 'The Gap' and all the amenities you need to enjoy the south coast of beautiful Barbados. You can't beat the location being just steps away from the beach. The house was well equipped and the furnishings made you feel right at home. It was so nice to sit out on the back patio each morning and enjoy breakfast with the resident song birds. Little extras like cooler bags for taking cold beverages with you to the beach made our visit extra special. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!
