When we arrived at the hotel we were warmly greeted by staff and given a lovely rum punch. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay and will go back! The hotel is only about 15mins walk away from st lawrence gaps main area where there are plenty of bars and restaurants if you wish to dine out! If you like fish then i would highly recommend Pisces also the Carpark bar is great it aprox cost £4/5 for a rum punch and a bottle of banks beer. Oistins on a friday night is well worth a look too! and if you are there in August for the crop over festival it is well worth going to see the parade!

Room:- The room we had was lovely and the view was breath taking! My only moan about the room was the bath was tiny and im only 5ft 1" but it wasnt a major issue.

Food:- Breakfast and lunch was buffet style served in 2 of the 3 restaurants with lots of variety. Evening meal at the "Chelonia" restaurant was buffet again but the theme changed every night (italian, mexican etc) we didnt eat at the waterfront on a night so i cant comment on that however we did eat once at the "Asiagos" which is fine dining and it was lovely!

Beach:- The beach was lovely and never struggled to get a bed which all had their own canopy. The water did get quite choppy on occasions but was to cool you down.

Staff:- the staff were brilliant and couldnt do enough for us.

Entertainment:- On a night there was a singer/music on which is on till about 11.30pm ish however the bar was open till 1ish

The Hotel lived up to our expectations from the reviews already provided, the best aspect for us was the service, a great team of really helpful people (and importantly plenty of them when it got busy!).
Food was excellent (altho we did have one poor dinner), lunches in particular were way too good !
Getting a sunbed on the beach was never an issue and they are really comfortable; each with individual canopy for when the sun gets too much...
The main issue to think about is primarily due to the location, the southerly aspect means you get the sun all day (altho note you won't see a sunset), but it also means it's exposed to the trade winds which can be pretty strong. The upside to the breeze is it keeps you cool, the downside is it makes the sea very choppy and most days while we were there it was red flagged for swimming (good fun if you're a competent surfer tho); the wind also carries the fine sand, this isn't particularly noticeable (unless it's really blowing), but you will have a fine covering by the end of the day.
If this bothers you then there are always the sun beds by the 2 pools !
A minor gripe was that sometimes the waterfront bar would close at 6pm; annoying if you've come from the beach for a pre-shower drink.
However, all in all an excellent vacation and would certainly consider returning.

Excellent place, staff make you feel welcomed. The food is excellent. You even get service on the beach. A nice hotel to relax and enjoy yourself at. A short bus ride away, we visited Bridgetown, also nice to see.

From the arrival with The Bell Captain taking our bags ..... The smooth check in and delivery to our beautiful ocean front room our vacation was set. The Meet the Manager cocktail hour was a highlight. The rest of our stay with entertainment and food was excellent. We could have not asked for a more pleasant vacation. The staff was extremely attentive and made our stay very comfortable.
We would recommend this Resort to any and all of our friends!!

From the minute we arrived at the front steps the welcome was wonderful from the doorman reception, cleaners, restaurant and bar staff staff. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome. On arrival we were given a coctail while the check in procedure was done for us. Our rooms were standard ones but perfect and we even had a pool/sea view. The food was very good and presented well. Went to the Italian one night but didnt have the atmosphere and personally prefer the food in the main one. Had our lunch mainly in the sea front restaurant plus a couple of evenings and the food here was very good too. Entertainment was of a very high standard and enjoyed every evening apart from one when the girl singer was so loud it was impossible to have a conversation! Maradonna serving drinks on the beach was so happy and friendly. Only downside to our weeks stay here was that we couldnt go in the sea as there was a red flag up ALL WEEK we were gutted as love the sea and wanted to go on the Hobie Cat and maybe some other things. Didnt know this could happen for a whole week. lucky there were 2 swimming pools to cool of in. Apart from that downside I would recommend this hotel unreservedly for a wonderful holiday.

Room Tip: We had rooms 214 & 215 which looked onto the pool and the sea just beyond. I dont think an upgra...

We have just returned from a weeks stay at Turtle Beach. This hotel has to have the friendliest staff of all the resorts we have stayed in across the caribbean Nothing was too much trouble and the wonderful Maradonna with his tray of daily goodies and cold drinks, pool or sun bed on the beach was such a lovely touch. The hotel is so clean, the food is varied and great quality and the rooms were good, with comfortable beds and the most amazing pillows. We genuinely couldn't fault anything with the hotel !!!. The only down side (if there has to be one) is that the sea, being on the south of the island was really choppy and quit dangerous at times. We had a red flag for the majority of our stay. On the yellow flag days it made for some fantastic body boarding and wave jumping....if you want to experience the sea at its most powerful its perfect. We took the local 'Reggae bus' over to Crystal Cove (the sister resort) for the day and were able to make use of the watersports on the calmer west coast. We would most definitely stay at Turtle Beach again, we loved it....Sandals could definitely learn a thing or two from this resort !!

We are at this hotel now...sum it up in one word PERFECT......the staff here make this place ....thumbs up to all of them.....can't fault a thing..even the breeze is welcome to cool us down!!
Rooms are very clean...beds and towels changed everyday...plenty of hot water..could stock the fridge with cold drinks but not a problem when you have room service.
Constantly bringing cold drinks, fruit, ice lollies around the pool and afternoon tea is very welcome at 4pm!!
Food in the restaurants is varied....something for everyone and the local KFC is scrumptious!!
Lovely beach ...soft pale sand ...sea can be a little rough but not a problem for the children to have a paddle...lifeguard on the lookout daily!
Children love the kids club....they can't wait to get in there, bringing bracelets key rings etc back with them that the lovely ladies had made with them...a very varied programme of activities they do with them.
Evening entertainment is good but we didn't sample all of it as the children were zonked by 7pm!,,
Shops are seconds outside the hotel as is Dover Beach, easily walkable. there is a supermarket selling everything just outside the main gates and we found the prices to be the same as the UK.Dont bring suntan lotion from home..they have a great range here upto 100SPF made by neutrogena and not expensive.
Would highly recommend this lovely place in the sun!!
