“Fantastic hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 23, 2013

This is a great 4 star hotel on the outskirts of Taroudant. Beautiful gardens with loads of bungalow rooms, and a great swimming pool. Meals were good too. Could not fault the place. We were upgraded to a bungalow with a large bedroom, a sitting room, separate toilet and separate bath/shower, and even a separate study area, and we were only there for one night!

The hotel is the perfect place to stay for a relaxing break in your journey. Some booking-sites are listing this place under Agadir which is terribly wrong, Agadir is at least 1 1/2 hours drive away. So once you have visited the famous city walls of Taroudant there is nothing more to do than relax at the gorgeous pool!
Only issue was the restaurant. With only three main courses, one of them diet-pasta, dinner was a disadvantage.

Very beautiful location, fantastic swimming pool, nice staff, food was ok. I would recommend it to anybody. Only the music from the stereo in the evening wasn't quite appropriate (Rockabilly from the 50ies) but that's a detail

We spent just one night at this lovely hotel, the third last of our 2 week tour of Morocco. Everywhere we stayed has been just delighttul and this was up there with the best. The bedroo in our bungalow was large and had a separate dressing room. We were feeling a bit sandy after coming across the desert from Mhamid so a shower and a swim in the lovely pool were very welcome. Our bungalow, 'kumquat' (all the bungalows were named for fruit or flowers), was close to the pool and next to an old olive crusher. The extensive gardens with their array of fruit trees and lovely flowers were a delight to stroll through. We were a little disappointed not to see papaya on the menu as there was ripe fruit on the trees. This is an orange growing district and there were plenty of citrus trees, loaded with fruit. We were told that Wifi might not be possible in the room but at certain times we found that it was available - it was certainly fine at our private outdoor table. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious, more French than we have been having and we also enjoyed a good breakfast outside near the pool but we worked out later that it could have been brought to our room. This is a Kasbah style hotel, built in the traditional style. Why go to a soulless multinational hotel chain in Morocco?

Room Tip: All the rooms are conveniently located so we couldn't say one was better than another.

We stayed in a bungalow with a very quirky bathroom, a sunken shower which was a first but very good. The room could have been a bit larger, but I believe there were larger ones. The grounds are lovely and the pools were heated, unfortunately we did not have time for a swim. The breakfast was adequate but not much choice. We were with a tour and had a buffet in the evening which was not great. May be different if travelling as a couple.

Room Tip: Have to look at the range of bedrooms.

Only stayed one night, wish it could have been longer. Lovely large room (actually bungalow) full of character and style. Each room , I think, was slightly different and there were also 'tents' of glamourous berber style also sell fitted out in a secluded area. the hotel had beautiful gardnes and a nice pool. The food was excellent as was the service all personally supervised by the owner. Even the wine, unusually for Morocco, was reasonably priced. I would strongly recommend this hotel. There is not a lot else in the vicinity other than the walled town of Taroudant which I felt did not have a lot to commend it but the hotel itself is worthy of a longer stay if you just want to chill out.

Room Tip: I think they were all good

A simply beautiful setting. Our room was around the second swimming pool set in delightful gardens, with the scent of roses and flowers surrounding you. The room looked like a square tent, but was in fact a room with all facilities that you would expect. Again it had some character with locally made bedspreads, and the shower was extremely good. I had been unwell that day, and wanted some hot water to drink. My husband enquired at reception, and it arrived very quickly in a flask. The boy had to go back for a cup so that I could drink it, but this was a very minor irritation. Some of our lights did not work, again a workman came and managed to fix most of them. It was lovely to have a meal served at the table, elsewhere it was always a buffet. I did not have the food, but everyone agreed it was delicious. Good breakfast, but they could do with another kettle!

Room Tip: I preferred the rooms around the second pool. The others didn't seem to have much space to sit...
