“Marvellous and Unique lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 14, 2012

One of the most memorable lunches ever. We are 4 foodies who appreciate good food, impeccable service and a gorgeous setting. This was way far better than expected. These people do know their stuff. May they continue to be very successful. Bravo !

“Amazing food and great settings”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2012

The food was amazing. The fish soup as starter was good and enough for 6 people. The Maroccan salad is absolutely to try; a big platter of different cooked vegetables each with a fantastic light dressing full of flavour, a delight for the eyes and the taste buds. The goat tagine was exceptional and again a very generous portion, as was the fruit salad. The quality of the food, all freshly prepared (pre-booking needed), the service, the setting and atmosphere was all perfect. Only regret was not to have time to go back for another dinner. We spent the equivalent of £14 per person, which for the standard and quantity is great value. Bon Appetite.

“Fantastic food at Riad Maryam”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 19, 2012

Fantastic food we went twice by popular demand. The setting is beautiful around an open courtyard so take a jacket for later if you are in the cooler time of year. A lovely family feel and very friendly. There is also a cookery school run from here.

“wonderful typical moroccan cooking”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2012

As is usual with riads, this is off the beaten track and you need to book and order in advance. But it is definitely worth the effort. We were surprised by how quiet it was both times we visited, but this may because it is expensive by local standards.

Food is served in the central courtyard of this small riad. The set menu consists of soup, a huge selection of vegetable salads, tagine or pastilla then desert. The portions are huge and we were unable to eat even half the food served, but all of it was delicious, especially the pigeon pastilla we had on our second visit.

“Feast for the palate and the eyes”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2011

Our photography/painting holiday group of 13 enjoyed a unique experience in the ambience of this ornate riad. The patron greeted us individually at the door and we gasped in amazement at our opulent surroundings. A long table was formally laid, complete with candleabra, under the stars in the middle of the courtyard. Soup was followed by an amazing vegetable/salad feast; meatballs accompanied by roasted quince followed and mille feuille was a wonderful desert. Madame happily talked to us about the dishes she had prepared while Monsieur made sure the wine was flowing. A suerb evening to remember.
