“paradise for girls break”
Reviewed October 18, 2013

We stayed here on October for 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer, the staff were friendly and more than helpful and the rooms excellent, We stayed in the 2 rooms on the terrace so we had our own roof garden, clean and spacious and beautifully decorated. we went into the town for lunch one day which was fine but ate every other meal here. The food was delicious and fresh and wonderful to eat outside with no mosquitoes. We took our own wine as no licence but absolutely no problem to drink with our meals. We also had great massages which were very reasonable and so relaxing. The horse drawn carriage at dusk to the souk was a definite treat and should not be missed. We are all going back next year, can't recommend this place enough and Taroudant is a lovely town to visit with friendly people and easy to get to from Agadir. Go if you can you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: Roof terrace rooms are lovely

We had a wonderful 3-night stay in this special hotel. It is clean, the rooms are fabulously appointed (we were in the junior suites on the roof terrace), Myriam and her all-female staff were friendly and very helpful, the food was delicious (we had breakfast, lunch, and dinner) and spending time in the courtyard garden and pool was like having a big hug, especially when combined with massage treatments! And as we were 4 mums on a break this ticked all of our boxes!! The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the souks and markets so ideal for exploring.

On a practical note, the hotel was happy for us to drink wine at the table that we had brought with us. There were banks just round the corner to obtain dirhams. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper - I was so relaxed that I wasn't bothered by cockerels or calls to prayer it is after all just part of where you are!! We didn't see a single mosquito or midge! A tour around the town in a horse and cart is a great way to see a lot if you are only visiting for a short time - the hotel can arrange this too! Whilst one or two of the staff speak English, a smattering of French is useful! We were also able to stay at the hotel until we collected at 4.30pm: even though our rooms were needed our cases were safe and there is a shower etc for use after sunbathing and a dip in the pool!

We had a truly relaxing and restorative break and will be back!

We stayed at Palais Oumensour for quite a few nights aiming to have some relaxation time by the pool and enjoy some local activities.
The Riad is beautiful and well kept and the staff helpful and courteous.
I think we would have benefitted from knowing a little more French to make the most of potential activities.
We ate at the Riad on a number of evening and the food was always delicious.
The breakfast was virtually the same each day and whilst it was perfectly ok, a little more variety and fresh fruit salad or a fruit bowl would have been a nice addition. That's a minor point and I would definitely recommend Palais Oumensour.
(Those wanting a lie in, or who are light sleepers, should beware the cockerel down the road somewhere, which starting squawking at the crack of dawn every day. Closely followed by the lengthy call to prayer.)

My wife and I spent 4 nights at this wonderful hotel, we can't compliment it enough, of the 4 hotels/ riads we stayed at on our trip to Morocco this was by far the best. We hadn't planned on eating hear every night but the food and service were so good we did, it wa salso great value. Everywhere was kept spotlessly clean and the staff although their english was limited did everything they could to make our stay amazing. I would happily recomend the Palais Oumensour and I am sure I will be returning.

We have just come back from Taroudant and stayed at the Palais Oumensour for a week. I cannot recommend it highly enough - my daughters and I had a lovely room, very comfortable and the courtyard and pool were a joy every day ... especially in temperatures of 45 degrees! Myriam and her team were discrete but available should we need anything and always polite and helpful. The whole place was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I loved the fact that you were two minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the souk and then behind a simple blue door was this calm and peaceful slice of heaven on earth. Wonderful - would return again in a heartbeat.

We went on a trip from Marrakech over the Atlas Mountains, to visit Taroudant on 24 april 2013 planning an overnight stay at Palais Oumensour, travellers choice 2013. But what a dissapointment, nearly impossible to find, nice TripAdvisor badges on the front door showing we have found the right place, but the door was closed and nobody answered the bell. We waited about 30 min trying the door/bell every 5 minutes, with the same result, drove away and found a nice Riad instead

we are very suspicious about these comment.
we didn't have any sign of these clients , no phone call, no mail,
the staff was these day with our main entrance open preaparing a great cleaning before a large group arrival few days later.
Workers are runing through the open main entrance all the day painting in f the Palais,
Some peoples vist us these day without any problem,
but no one in our staff see the people claiming we didn't react after ringing a long time.
Strange,
we won a price with Trip-advisor It's not accidentally ,it's our duty to host clients, we didn't have any reason to close our door to clients,
the malicious comment is unfounded,

This is a really lovely, airy, spacious guesthouse; it is spotlessly clean and has numerous relaxing areas both on terraces and indoors. The members of staff are charming, friendly and patient whilst the meals are excellent: dinners are gourmet meals with varied menus and expensive ingredients - not just piles of couscous!
Taroudant was friendly and relaxing - at no time - even when lost up alleyways with our daughters - did we feel at all uncomfortable.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Room Tip: Our daughters shared Sama on the roof terrace and we had Argan - both excellent.
