we reserved 2 double rooms ahead of time. It was around June 2012.
The woman who runs the Riad welcomed us warmly. The rooms were large enough and clean. The airconditioners in the rooms could not cope with the severe heat [38 C].
Breakfast was good.
The location of the Riad is excellent.

This is a great Riad - clean, tidy, nice rooms, air con, good breakfast included, swimming pool. The owner Ignes is really friendly and helpful and even lent us her own lounge to watch the Olympics. Feels like you are part of the family. It is a little bit tucked away but well worth the effort required to find it.

From the moment she welcomes you till the moment she waves you good by , you wil be amazed by Agnes ways , a charming , attractive brunette .
She runs the Riad Taroudant with passion and dedication , She takes a great pride in making her place as a top choice for any traveller visiting this interesting and lively city . .As a matter of fact you really don t want to leave because even if you know you are in an hotel , it does feel like home ,a warm , relaxing entourage.
The location is perfect , in the medina , in a quiet street ,not far from the main square , next to the souks . you can park your car in front of the hotel .
The rooms are spotless , decorated in a berber style.
The roof terrace is beautiful , spacious ,we enjoyed it at any time of the day . There are not many , and good , restaurants in Taroudant , I will recommand to eat in the riad , Naima will cook for you very tastfull dishes , served on the terrace .
The swimming pool in the patio is a nice area for a drink ,and I am sure very welcoming in the warm summer months .

I would say wel done Agnes for creating the best place to be in Taroudant .

Riad Taroudat is a nice place to stay in Maroc. Me and my wife have enjoyed ours days there. Warm welcome, smiling owners, clean room, good breakfast on the terraceroof, nice pool, right in the middle of the village. Arriving in Taroudant I have had some difficult to find it, but I think this is the only negative point to note.

Althougt Abdou was very sweet and helped us wit everything, there were some things we didn't like. We can understand that there is no water in the pool during the winter, but other things they promised on the site weren't available as well. One of the reasons we choose this Riad was that there should be a restaurant (they offer demi-pension!!). My daughter had run the Marrakech Marathon some days before and we wanted to eat at the Riad and relax on visiting their Hammam. Never seen it!! Abdou brought us a heater, because the room was very cold and were where "the open fireplaces for colder winternights"?? There was no 24 hour reception and we got the key to get in in the evening (see remark Kokomonkey). There was living a lady in the house, but she was out!. It would be correct to mention on the site that a lot of applications are not available in winter or otherwise CLOSE THE RIAD during this period. Now they are making promises they cann't keep.

We booked the Riad Taroudant as we were only spending four nights in Morocco and wanted to sample the surrounding area (goats in trees, Atlas mountains etc). However, on our first night after having checked in we set out to explore the town only to find upon our return that we had been locked out. After calling the reception desk countless times and ringing the doorbell for over an hour (the website says the reception is open 24 hours) we had to try and find somewhere else to stay. But nowhere in Taroudant would accept us as our passports were locked inside the Riad Taroudant, just as things were looking very desperate some kind people took pity on us and to cut a long story short after about two hours and relying completely on the kindness of strangers the Palais Salam hotel let us stay there (I cannot express enough the gratitude we felt towards the staff at the Palais Salam and their calm efficiency).
On return the next morning we were offered a free night at The Riad Taroudant - however it wasn't really free for us as we'd had to pay elsewhere, and one other night at half price so we decided to persevere.
We then enquired about two other services that are offered on the website, a selection of food - being vegetarian and having travelled extensively in Morocco we realised that this could be a problem so we were pleased to see that the Riad offered Moroccan and in their own words 'more familiar food ' and excursions, however it turned out that neither trips or 'familiar food' were available, so the next day we decided to check out.
All of this was a real shame as the Riad is decorated beautifully and the one breakfast we had there was great, but it couldn't really make up for a night nearly having to sleep rough or the lack of promised services.

We are stayed one night in this ryad suggested by an owner of a guest house in Todra Gorges. It was a surprise because from the outside the riad is very simple but indoor you can find a very nice riad, with a terrasse on the Medina; the room are in maroc style and is very quiet to stay. The Owner was also happy to talk with us and our children (3 children) and to make us feel like at our home.
