We were here to attend a wedding. So we were a big group taking up a range of accommodation offered by Lantana Galu.

I stayed in one of the beach front villas. What an amazing 5 nights!
The villa was spacious, clean and had everything that we needed.

We also hired a cook ...so always woke up to what felt like a ''home cooked breaky''.
The team were very accommodating and professional.

Thank you Gille, Edward+team, Didah+team, Winnie, Spa-team... and especially Hamisi our housekeeper!

For all those looking to unwind and have a tranquil holiday .....Lantana Galu Beach should be on your list of where to stay.

I will definitely be back.

Room Tip: The villas are spacious, luxurious ....and best of all so near the restaurant, pool and beach.

Arrived after trying journey from Dublin, Ireland. Met in the lobby by Gillie & the reception crew & all aches were forgotten. Our fabulous villa had a sea view from each of its three floors. The onsite restaurant provided great food & wine. They were happy to prepare any meal we asked even if not on the menu. Really enjoyed their seafood barbaque & the Asian buffet lunch. The beach was a pristine white sand with a fantastic warm sea. We were at first intimidated by the beach boys but soon learned to egnore them. We were very amused by the monkeys who liked to enter the villa and look for food. After a while we realised it was best to keep them outside. This is a great venue for a relaxed holiday. Perhaps not geared towards teenagers looking for night life and constant amusement. Gillie organised a great safari trip that I have reviewed elsewhere. Thanks to all at Lantana Galu.

We were here with a group of nearly 20 family friends and had 4 villas and had a super time. I staff were very friendly and the resort worked well for us as villas were big enough to gather in and also enjoy meals together. We hired a local cook who made breakfast and helped wth the dinner on some days so we could better enjoy being together as family.

We recently stayed at Lantana in the penthouse suite which was absolutely amazing! As you walk into the suite, your breath is literally taken away by the unbelievable views out over the ocean to the right and to the left, the view stretches all the way to the shimba hills! Just magic! We were travelling with our daughter who is 4 months old, and nothing was too much trouble! The staff were fantastic, the food delicious, and it really felt like a home away from home. I would highly recommend this property for people looking to get away from it all and completely relax! I look very much forward to visiting again soon!

We stayed at Lantana for a friends birthday party in a three bedroom villa which was styled in swahili style & amazingly spacious ! It was well equipped which was slightly wasted on us as we only boiled the kettle for tea/coffee in the morning !
The bathroom & bedroom were really big & the photos on the website don't really do the rooms justice ! I really liked the roof top terrace , it would of been lovely to sit up there with a chilled bottle of wine , however we were there to socialise !
The location of the hotel is further south than we have previously stayed at Baobab but the beaches in front of the hotel are absolutely gorgeous ! we have traveled to the Maldives and the beach here was just as good if not better especially when the sun highlighted the clearness & colours of the sea.
One highlight of the hotel is that it has a flat beachfront to the sea there are no major steps to climb & the restaurant overlooks the beach which many hotels don't have .
There is nothing more enjoyable than eating or drinking overlooking the sea !
The breakfasts were lovely with fresh fruit & omelettes made to order.
We walked on the beach in both directions , although you do get pestered by the beach boys which you will anywhere in Mombasa , they were really struggling to make any money especially with the number of tourists around.
We would defiantly return to Lantana having stayed in several hotels over the years in both north & south Mombasa - the staff all worked very hard to make you feel like you were VIP's & Gilly went out of her to help with advice on shopping/eating out /ordering taxis etc .

Room Tip: Villas are closer to the beach
