We really enjoyed our stay here. The Gruber family and the hotel staff were warm, friendly, and comsiderate. They really worked to accomodate our needs (our two year old was a little 'off-schedule'") and to make our stay a pleasant one.
The location is lovely. Maranza does not offer too much but has an incredible view of two valleys and is a great starting point for hikes/ short trips to another nearby valleys and towns. There is a small park, two markets, coffee bar etc. Rio di Pusteria (a few kilometers away) is small, but has most necessary services and is charming to stroll through.
The hotel dinners were excellent. Fine quality food and varied menu. Really high level. Just miss a few canederlei (regional speciality), although in most hotels in the area you wind up having too many!
Had a very good massage, enjoyed the pool, my daughter played in the playroom, and we found the small wellness area to be very well maintained and elegant.
The room (suite) was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated...although if you really want to knitpick, I would say it was a little less elegant than what we had expected for the price.
(Have already noted this to the hotel, who were also very good about asking for feedback).
What can else to add? We had a great stay and Are already thinking about heading back there this fall!
