Mauritius Vacation

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Feb 10, 2019via mobile
We stayed here for 5 nights from the 24th jan to 29th jan. The property is beautiful. It has a private beach, nice and clean rooms. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The swimming pool is great. The food served was really awesome, with lots of varieties to choose from. The service isnt that good, some of the staffs here really speak rudely.(specially at the Rum point bar)But Avinash was completely contrasting to the other staffs, very well spoken and polite. The boat house has lots of water sports activities for the hotels guests. The spa is pretty cool.

Small and more cosy hotel with only 66 rooms. Large rooms with good size balcony. Great food in the hotel restaurant with a good variety of selection. Private beach with sunbeads under parasoll and not crowded. Beach with a great view overlooking aquacoloured sea.

Set in a stunning location virtually on a private beach the grounds are immaculately kept. The rooms are somewhat dated and the Bar area needs a spruce up too but all in all excellent value for money.
The All Inclusive Package was excellent with a great choice of spirits, beer, soft drinks and alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktails from 11am until 11pm. The food generally was very good with a great choice at most meal times except when lunch was served near to the bar then it was a poor choice and puddings very dry. The wine served was of a good quality.
Sunbed availability was never an issue as the hotel was less than half full. Very peaceful most of the day time except when ‘keep fit’ in the pool and then the music was so loud you could not talk to anyone.
The entertainment is organised by local employees of a French Travel Firm and hence it is aimed at the French with little consideration for other Nationalities. They take over at night and conversation is impossible.
As stated a beautiful location but there is absolutely nothing either way out of the hotel by road for a few miles. So it’s great if you are happy to stay in the grounds or travel out by local bus or taxi. This is not an option at Night though. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them.
Overall we had a great two weeks here and would return if the Hotel management arranged the nightly entertainment to suit all tastes and Nationalities

Travelled here with my family in December 2018 for a Christmas holiday. We spent 7 nights in this wonderful hotel which is in a fabulous quiet location, it really is paradise….

The staff were extremely pleasant and catered for our all needs. The rooms were excellent, very spacious, with comfortable beds and the shower had excellent water pressure. The views from the rooms were truly fabulous.

The restaurant catered for all tastes with a large selection of foods from every region of the world, ensuring everyone was looked after. If there was something that was not available at the buffet, we asked the staff and they were happy to provide it for us (if available). We all also enjoyed the afternoon tea with the complimentary pancakes….

The pool side bar is amazing, as were the cocktails served by the wonderful bar staff. The private beach is lovely with ample sun beds and easy access to the gorgeously warm sea water. The hotel also provides complementary kayaks, pedalos and snorkelling equipment which the younger members (and some of the older members) of the family really loved….

We really enjoyed our stay at Jalsa Beach and will return again for sure……

Stayed for 9 nights, the hotel is well priced compared to others in the area. There are circa 60 rooms so smaller than most but the beach is incredible with views of a lagoon. The opposite hotel is much more fun pricey and has the same amazing view! The hotel has kayaks and pedals and the lady who runs it is very pleasant. Deep sea fishing available and they catch 40 kg plus tuna!

There is only one main restaurant but the head chef caters for Asian and European cuisine and is a very good guy. The food is good particularly the Asian food.

Would recommend if you want a smaller hotel with amazing beach.

Not all of the drinks are included on the all inclusive list.
