The hotel has excellent stuff , they are very helpful, the view is wonderful, overall is so good except you can't swim at the sea there, only the pool you will enjoy. the rooms are clean, so quite, far from the shopping and the nightlife

Newer hotel. Off location but main areas well accessible by scooter or shuttle. Take scooter. Rent from shop across street.

Don't go if you want a good beach or good service. Of all hotel staff only one spoke English. That's it. Even the concierge only knows hello and goodbye.

Beach is dirty and low tide moves water ~200 yards out. Then you can see all the trash and bottles on the sand.

Service at bar and pool and restaurant unsatisfactory.

Chef is very good.

Design and architecture also good but staff and poor management limits quality of experience to equivalent of a 2 star hotel.

We (2 person) stayed here for two nights in April 2013.
Starting from booking the room we got excellent service.
We sent inquiry about room by email directly to hotel reservation and got reply in half hour. After that we confirmed booking by email and sent credit card information by phone.
Everything went flawlessly and we got booking confirmation and hotel information brochure
by email.
We took private airport transfer service and driver picked up us by Toyota Camry limousine from the airport after arrival to Phuket.
Cost of airport transfer is nice not much more than taxi.
We were very pleasantly surprised with the hotel on arrival. The check in process we got very nice service. The check-in was at the lobby lounge instead of usual reception desk.
During the check-in they guided us very well about hotel area and they served drinks while we listened their advices.
Because of limited time we didn't use all activities in hotel area but massage and gym we used with good experience. Massage happen in spa area very nice environment and gym contain many new machines for exercise.
At breakfast time we were surprised of service, they remembered my gluten free dietary and they bring gluten free bread and coffee to the table. Otherwise breakfast was versatile and decent.
The hotel has a good location not too far from activities of the town but quiet area and
very nice sea view from the room.
It was easy to get taxi another side of the road with affordable price (Phuket price).
We took taxi to visit in Aquarium, temple, Big Buddha on the mountain and town.
Overall experience of the hotel was excellent.

The hotel is great modern decor and with all the amenities it has to offer nothing held back staff is helpful with finding the things you don't have or need the room I had was overseeing the cove seeing the ocean coming in and going out only a short drive to phuket city or a 30 min drive to the overcrowded patong phuket.you can rent a bike out side on the road for 300 baht Adam or can hire taxi but it will cost you like you are in a taxi in Berlin but not a Mercedes but a beat up Toyota a trip to patong will run you 800 baht ......one way......motor cycle can do very easy to go wear you're helmet please
But if you are in for some RR and the best Almond croissants you are in the right spot the have sereval restaurants the all day dineing great buffet theames every night . I tried the meat lovers buffet a huge array of qulity Australian beef and sausage the style is Americana with a large array of desserts and fresh fruit but great sitting outside with live music.

Room Tip: Sea view nice morning view

Our stay at the Crowne Plaza Phuket was, frankly, quite a let down.

Pros:
- Quiet location, away from the mayhem that is Patong (you'd probably need a car and definitely a GPS to get around)
- As noted by other contributors, the hotel is new and the room felt fresh. King Andaman terrace had a nice outdoor terrace area with deck chairs and a nice area for the kids to play.
- Excellent concierge desk/ tour centre at the entrance to the hotel
- Great pools and activities
- Decent breakfast spread, if a little underwhelming
- Close to Central Festival (mall with shopping, food and massage parlours) and Big C supermarket
- Good Italian beachside restaurant called Patio - good ambiance in the evenings and well-prepared food.

Cons:
- Serious, repeated lapses in communication between reception and housekeeping over laundry instructions, etc.
- Faulty airconditioning in our room
- Disappointing beach - Makham bay was less of a beach, more of a stretch of insipid sand/crab holes at low tide that was far short of picturesque. Not really suitable for swimming.
- Area felt rather deserted and 'dead' at night - even with a GPS, we ended up on completely unlit and dark roads en route back from town
- The hotel lacked the wow luxury factor I have come to associate with this marque of hotels - it was far from the usual Platinum Priority Club experience that I usually enjoy at Intercontinental hotels
- Rather unpleasant check out experience. I was given 3 bills which involved various elements of overcharging that left me with a rather unpleasant taste in the mouth and the resolve to stay elsewhere in Phuket on my next trip.

The hotel made up for it somewhat with letters from management, but it's sometimes too late to redeem a less-than-spectacular stay that takes the shine off an otherwise excellent holiday.

Hello,

We recently stay 5 nights at this property and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The hotel is good shape, especially since it is around 1 year old. The hotel employees all worked hard to make our stay enjoyable and the extra effort was appreciated. The grounds and facilities are well kept and the two pools are an excellent way to keep a little more quiet than the others. While the food was good, we especially enjoyed the beach side Italian restaurant the prices are a little expensive and with very few local options close by the bill can add up quickly.

As I said in my title this is the place you want to go if you want quiet as it is a good 30-40 minutes from the town of Phuket and Patong Beach so if your idea of a vacation is to hang out at the popular and crowded beaches in Phuket you might be dissapointed.

The other thing to be aware of is that the water while beautiful does go down quite a lot resulting in around 6 to 8 hours a day where you cannot swim on the beach. Although this was not an issue because after 2 hours or so in the bay me and my family are always ready for the pool, especially when there are no waves, and as this is a Bay protected by two islands and facing east there are no waves to speak of.

We rented the Andaman Loft pool suite which was extra large for our family and the convenience of the swim up pool to our patio doors was a nice touch.

Overall a great experience that was perfect for our family.

I just returned from a great week at this hotel and the few issues that arose from my stay were either addressed immediately or are in the process. The management and staff are excellent at this hotel and vertually went out of their way to make me comfortable. I do not believe that it was my Platinum Elite staus that made the difference either as I witnessed many of the guests being treated with the same respect and courtesy.
I did however witness many of the guests NOT treating the Thai people with the same respect and courtesy that they were shown and I found that very sad.
I did notice other members even complaining about the tide going out and having to look at the mud flats at low tide, perhaps the hotel can have a word with Mother Nature concerning this matter?

This hotel is much better for families than singles or couples as entertainment is a fair distance from the hotel, but if you want a peaceful, pleasant vacation without all the bedlum of Patong this is the place to go. The hotel faces east and you always see the beautiful sunrise........nice!

Room Tip: Do not get one of the lower level pool rooms, the chinese tourists love to stop and look in at every...
