My husband and I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights, and loved every waking moment. The staff made us feel like we were at home. Kendra was our waitress and bartender for what seemed like every day. She was so kind especially when i ordered the Rum Punch only to find, i didn’t like it, she saw me gobbling down my husband’s drink and secretly made me one just like it. Very attentive to her guest needs! LOVE IT! The snorkeling is great, go see the turtles!

The rooms were clean and spacious, the bathroom was well lit and full amenities were replenished daily. Seems like no room is a bad room! Check out the Sunset pool in the late afternoon... it really is the perfect place to catch the sun descend!

We will definitely go back again

Room Tip: The Gardenview rooms by the Sunset pool...

We have stayed here several times and really enjoy this hotel. Many rooms have been upgraded recently with new linen and towels all of good quality. Really comfortable rooms with free internet and cable TV. Bars etc are also upgraded recently although one beach bar out of comission being upgraded on our current stay. . The grounds are beautiful and the beach position is far better than more expensie hotels further along Grand Anse. We tend to self cater or go out and there are several places nearby in the shopping centre that make this easy. Particularly recommend the chinese take away in the mall. The staff in the Grenada Grand are really friendly and helpful and check in here has always been swift and efficient. We notice on this stay that security has also been upgraded. A great hotel with good choice of areas to swim and generally chill out - lovely ! Easy to get buses into town just outside if you want to explore.

Room Tip: Recommend you ask for refurbished rooms, beachfront are lovely but you may get noise weekends from d...

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Grand Resort. The staff was great - very friendly and helpful. The meals were good, atmosphere beautiful and the grounds were safe and secure (24 /7 guards on site). The location is also perfect, easy to catch buses, grocery stores, banks, pharmacy etc. were within walking distance. Great taxi service as well. The room was large, clean and comfortable. I can't think of a negative to this resort and plan on staying here next time I go down.

GGB calls itself a resort but it is more like a sprawling motel. The rooms are adequate, the food is marginal (and relatively pricey). The grounds are very nice and the common areas are spacious and clean.the location is great! Directly on Grand Anse beach with a large shallow "fantasy" pool for the kids and swim up bar for the adults. There is another pool for real swimming that the local dive shop uses for certification classes. Also, there is a grocery store across the main street for getting your own food and beverages (in-room fridges are available for about $10 per night extra when available). And one of the most popular beach bars - Garfields - is located just past the south end of the resort property so you can hang with locals and tourists alike. As others have mentioned, shop around for rates. I've paid as low as US$35 per night for a garden view room (via SkyAuction) up to US$85 per night for ocean front. I would never pay the advertised rates...try calling and negotiating first. If you are going to pay $375 per night, stay a La Luna or La Source.

The staff are always helpful. The restaurant experience is typical of this island so don't expect world class service. Food recommendation: stick with the fish and chips. And plan to pay EC$15 or more for a cocktail so ask for Clarks Court White (overproof rum) and you'll only need one!

Also they have security guards patrolling the beach access and the front gates so we felt very secure with our small children. We will definitely go back to GGB as long as we can get those special rates!

We arrived in Gaenada to spend our romantic date vacation and happily we returned satisfied. I recommend it for honeymoon or any romantic trips. The resort is set in a perfect location that is surrounded by beautiful natural settings. Going out to the beach whether for having fun or just for a walk with your partner would definitely be one of the most memorable experiences for every traveler. We spent some everlasting moments around. About the hotel, it’s an average. Nice rooms having above average facilities. But, we expected more promptness from staff which was never met. Nothing to repent on it, we took it as compromise and made the most of ambiance that surrounded the resort. Do the same and there wouldn’t be anything to frown at.

Stayed in an Executive Beachfront Room with a Wow View! It's incredible looking out at St. George's over the white sands of Grand Anse Beach. The room is large with all the comforts one expects. Dual voltage outlets in the room comes in handy when travelling from the USA. The Gardens are lush and the Swimming Pools are great. Loved having a Cappuchino coffee in the Lounge each moring with Desree (attendant) to start the day. Staff are friendly and I look forward to staying again on my next trip.

Let's start with the positive sides:

Location: Grenada Grand is located on the Grand Anse Beach - the most touristy, coral white and known beach of Grenada - a beautiful beach without rough waves. It is also on the 'flat' - no stairs to climb to get to-from the beach. Also very handy - a small commercial center with a food store just across the road, a bank (Scotiabank) as well. And if you want an alternative you can get to the Spiceland Mall where there is a IGA by walking on the beach and turn left - 5, max 10 minutes by foot.

Garden: the hotel has a very nice, lush garden that attracts birds.

Fantasy pool: My kids just loved the fantasy pool, with a cascade, stones and plants around, bridges going over the pool, shaded by mango trees and other big trees. The hotel has also another, more conventional, square pool, good for those who want to swim more 'seriously'.

Service: all in all the people working at Grenada Grand are nice, smiling, say 'hello' to you.

Beds were confortable, rooms were clean.

Now the negative sides...

Price: If you go on the internet site of Grenada Grand you will have fares like 375US$ per person per night for bed and breakfast!!!!!! I recommend to phone and get a deal - there is room for negotiations and they also have offers like second room at half price. The price policy is not very 'selling' - meaning I'm sure they could have had much more guests by lowering their prices.

Expensive breakfast: we had a room-only fare and decided to try breakfast on a Sunday, even if we knew it was expensive... and it turned out depressing. Milk in a jar floating in a bowl full of water (melted icecubes I presume), plate with ham on with the plastic wrap not wrapped properly on - I saw flies on it.... no thank you... and for jam/jelly lovers as my husband there was marmelade and nutmeg jelly - nothing more. No honey, guava jam or other f.ex. The five of us were the only costumers in the restaurant, there were at least 4 or 5 waiters around - no one had the idea to put back plastic wrap, go and get ice for the milk etc. So the next days we went to a grill in the Spiceland mall and had freshly made eggs and bacon with loads of toasts and better jam.

Check-in: BE PATIENT!!!! We came around 4pm and the rooms were not availble because they had allowed late check-out - even if they knew we and others were coming... so it took close to 2 hours before we had our rooms - and this is not uncommen or even specially long. People checking in at the same time as us and who had stayed several times at Grenada Grand told us we were lucky and 2 hours wasn't that long!!?? I can not understand why it takes them so long.

No fridge in the rooms!! Can you believe it? For a 'high-class' hotel/resort like this there isn't a fridge per room?! We had two rooms and no fridge. Asked for it several times - nothing happened.

Bad maintenance - bathroom door didn't lock properly, paint in the bathroom smeared on the edge of the mirror, and splah stains of paint on the old hairdryer. Price-quality of the rooms didn't really live up to what I expected. The same applied to the fantasy pool - there was an umbrella that was broken by the pool - why isn't it at least taken away? It gives such a bad impression. And the pool in itself didn't look that well maintained either - the bottom was not clean.
