We visit here every few weeks and love it. The place has a rustic feel and the staff are friendly. The menu is really varied so something for everyone but the fish and chips are the best I've had and are great value :-) they also have a nice courtyard area to eat/drink outside. I would highly recommend!

My husband and I used to love eating here and raved about the fish dishes. Unfortunately the last couple of times we have been the food has been dry and tasteless. We both had the tuna steaks which used to come with a sweet chilli sauce but that seems to have been taken off this dish now. The mussels that I had were lukewarm and didn't come as a starter as requested with garlic bread and all in all we were really disappointed and won't be going back any time soon.

Went for a little family meal for my mums birthday. Service was pleasant and friendly staff, food plentiful but basic pub grub at appropriate prices. Nice atmosphere but definitely family oriented. A decent pint too.

I would go again for casual grub where kids won't be a negative :). There's no good on trip advisor, just average or very good hence the average.

We visited here recently for a friends birthday, there was a group of about 15 of us.

The food was nice but nothing really to write home about.

The service was OK but didn't really see anything of the servers apart from to bring the food out.

There was suppose to be a band on that's why we went for this particular evening and the band never came.

Bit disappointing but overall good.

We recently stayed here,The staff were not friendly,A disco played till 2330 outside our bedroom, and my full English breakfast consisted of two small rashers of bacon, one fried egg,one sausage, and one round of toast between two of us.
The small kettle which has the plug fitted took an age to boil not to mention the hazard of filling it.
Dust in bedroom.
We have stayed here for a number of years and the standards have dropped dramatically.
One last point after visiting my daughter(We are both disabled) we coul not park because of inconsiderate parking by staff, needless to say we will not be calling here again,I think in the not to distant future this establishment will either close down or come under new management.

The best food for miles! Always busy, very popular, but relaxed! The staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. We eat here regularly, with and without the children and both menus have a decent choice. We are planning to have our mum's 80th birthday meal at the pub and have chosen this venue!
