First thing I can say about this hotel is: incredible value for money.

We bought a 3 night snowboarding trip from Weekender Breaks paying £179pp for everything other than transfers which worked out around £200 but we wouldn’t have driven it so we were happy to pay it! Others in the hotel hired cars from the airport and I’ve heard that was alot cheaper! The only thing we had to pay for while there was our drinks.

Breakfast was simple with a few options of eggs and meat. Cereals, pastries, fruit and drinks. A big plus for us was soya milk available for all. At lunch time we got vouchers to use at Maniva Ski Resort (2 large slices of pizza or a panini, chips and drink! All delicious!) Evening meal was a set 3 course meal with a choice of 3 for each course, see image of menu for one night. We were worried as we are vegetarian (vegan where we can) but hadn’t mentioned to the hotel in advance. We were very happy to see that there was a lot of vegetarian options and where there was not, they adapted the meal for us which was greatly appreciated!!

All staff were extremely friendly and although there was a language barrier with most, they were very eager to help. The receptionist’s (Sanja) English is perfect and she helped us a lot. We got a lift down to the resort by the manager and once by someone who worked at Manvia Ski (they seem to all help each other out) which was brilliant as there was not a lot of snow and it’s usually on piste down to the resort but it would have been a 20 min walk otherwise.

We got a spa visit included in the price also, its only a small and simple spa but definitely helped after a day on the slopes and how can I complain when it is complimentary.

It is definitely a hidden gem and probably more suitable for couples or a few close friends who just want to do a little bit of skiing and then relax as it is a very quiet resort, everything is closed up by 10pm.

We would definitely go back and I hope this resort starts to get the custom it deserves as its really lovely! A side note... if you’re interested in boarding check out Fabio Ne.W Crew at Maniva Ski, brilliant instructor and really helped us!

We went there for ski holiday with my Husband and 3 other friends, hotel is spotless, clean, new and very friendly staff specially the owner.
Good food and drink , plenty Gluten free.Spa is very good and clean. Short distances to ski resorts.

We traveled as a family for my cousin’s destination wedding at this property. The views are stunning and the drive up picturesque. The meals provided during this wedding celebration were phenomenal! There are hiking trails, a bar, spa, etc. One item that we didn’t like, was that they require you to turn in your passports upon check in and they are stored behind the check in desk in the open. All other places we stayed in Italy would make a copy of the passport and give it back but as there is not always someone at the check-in desk, we disliked this very much. The only reason we didn’t make a big deal about this is that the whole hotel was just for the wedding party...but we do think this issue should be addressed for other travelers/guests in the future. The rooms were clean and functional and WiFi was also good. Overall, a good experience but hope they welcome what we hope is constructive criticism regarding the passports.

Room tip: Ask for a room with views of the valley/mountains

We booked a 3 night stay on a half board basis for skiing at Maniva. The hotel was very comfortable with a bar/cafe area and a large restaurant. The evening meal was good with a choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and two desserts, which changed each day. The hotel has a nice spa - we had one visit included in the overall price - chargeable after that (although we were able to use it for free before we left after our last morning skiing). Maniva is a small ski station and the hotels are spread along the road up to it, so there was nothing else within an easy walk of the hotel - that was fine for us but not for anyone looking for lots of nightlife. The staff were great. The hotel gave lifts to and from the ski station although once we had our skis we were able to ski to and from the hotel (short walk to the piste). The snow chains on our hire car were broken and it did not have winter tyres and we had to leave it about 5km away from the hotel - they gave me a lift down to try to get it when the snow had thawed a bit but we couldn't move it, so they gave us another lift down with our luggage the day we departed.

We booked a last minute ski break (3 nights) on Wowcher. The signs were good from the start. I sent a couple of emails to the reception in the weeks before we were due to leave and the responses were always immediate and thorough.
We hired a car from Milan and drove to the hotel (£6.50 per day for the car!) - it's about 2.5hrs. As soon as we had landed the hotel called us to check if we had snow chains and to advise that if we struggled at all the manager would come down in his 4x4 to assist. Great service.
As predicted the snow was fierce with temps of minus 17c as we got into the mountains and we arrived just before midnight. 2 of the staff had waited up for us, they let us use the underground parking and had prepared a small cold buffet as we had missed dinner.
It might sound like we were regulars, but we weren't - just genuine good service that went above and beyond.

The hotel is mid sized, located about 1km from the ski area and has amazing views. It's very clean, warm and the food is pretty good for the money. Nothing felt overpriced. The underground spa is great, with jacuzzi, sauna, steam, chill out area and massage room and free herbal teas. Much appreciated after a day on the slopes.

If you were looking for speed ski then this resort and hotel isn't going to be suitable. We went for the skiing only and for that, the hotel provides a fantastic, comfortable base.

Shout out to Massimo (the manager?) who was always friendly, and polite and saw to our every request.

Very well done. We loved it.
