We stay here 12 nights and I can say everything was perfect! We love the room(210),the bed was big and comfortable, bathroom was very nice...we got everything we need!

The pool was ok (need some improvement) but it's still good!

Restaurant it's very nice.nice live music every night.food was ok,a bit expensive for what you can get in city!

Place it's perfect for chill, but also with their shuttle bus for city(witch it's for free 2 times per day) you can find also the party if that it's what you want!

If you try to meet here the luxury,it's not your place...if you try to feel like home but in same time to have the paradise view and relaxing it's just perfect!

The staff it's amazing...they make you to feel you are special, they smile all the time, they look like waiting for you to ask for something, and they are very happy to help you with everything they can! Thank you guys for all of you, nice to meet you and hope see you soon!

Special thanks to Air!see you soon my friend!

Its been a long time since I was there but I've only just realised I never wrote a review.

This place is great. From the moment we arrived, nothing was too big an issue for the staff to take care of.

Our room was one of the sunset villas and happned to be right on the corner so it didnt have the bushes and trees blocking out the views - which were superb. Sitting on the terrace at night watching the sun go down was fantastic. I could have stayed forever.

The pool area you cant fault. This was always clean, less the odd flower that had fallen into it but the staff were cleaning it morning and night so at least they were fresh if there were any at all. The pool bar was fantastic, the 'happy hour' servces 2 for 1 on cocktails and this wastaken advantage of every day.

Breakfast was beautiful. Sitting just off the beach, the sound of waves slowly lapping the beach is one of the best ways to start a morning.

This is all I can really remeber so sorry that its a bit vague. Definitely worth a visit if you're heading that way!

Thanks again Fair House

We came for 2 nights and booked 10 days more.....since we felt so comfortable in this hotel.
It is a small hotel, at least it felt so and therefore the service is friendly and personal. The garden villa was great, well furnished in Thai style which was very classy. Later we got an upgrade to the Deluxe room with seaview and jaccuci, very nice as well!! Rooms are more spacios but you need to be in shape for climbing the stairs......however you can get a ride by golfcars which will drive you.
We celebrated our 2 years anniversary of our marriage and the hotel experience mgr. Air added a personal fantastic surprise by decorating our bed with rosebuds and a weddingcake, so nice!!
If we come again to Koh Samui, we will choose Fairhouse Villas again.

Room Tip: We stayed in both type of rooms. Garden Villa is nice and close to the beautifull pool. Most Deluxe...

My sister and I stayed here for 8 nights last month and we had a fantastic time at this place. We stayed in a garden villa which included a breakfast package, the villa was not far from the pool and restaurant. (It was in a convenient location). The best thing about this place is the scenery from the pool and restaurant. It is pretty spectacular and over looking the water. Also the staff are so lovely and friendly. Nothing is ever a problem. We had a guided tour of the Fair House Villa's organic garden and sampled some of their home grown vegetables and fruits. We also planted a tree in their garden while we were there in memory of a passed family member. Which was a memorable experience. We took advantage of happy hour at lunch time and in the evening. We also ate in the restaurant a couple of times, which was nice. They offer a complimentary shuttle bus service to Chaweng beach, which we used a number of times. There are lots of shops and restaurants here too. Definitely would recommend checking it out. I forgot to mention we had complimentary massages which were AMAZING. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the Fair House Villas and would love to be back there right now!

Great rooms (we had a garden bungalow, very spacious and clean with an amazing bathroom) in a secluded private area. Lovely two tier pool with swim up bar and jacuzzi's and plenty of toys to play with (not only for kids!) Also we used the free kayaks and they have free snorkelling equipment. Unfortunately the beach is very narrow and the sand very coarse (almost painful to walk on at times) but that isn't the hotel's fault. It's a super quiet area and much more 'local' and calm than the touristy beaches, which we specifically wanted to avoid. We also used the spa - the treatments were great although quite gentle so don't be scared to ask for a harder massage.

We ate breakfast at the hotel and it was very good. Only downside is they clear away at 10.25am sharp, so it's not good for people who love a lie-in! We also tried the pizza's for lunch which were good.

We used the hotel taxi service to go to Mae Nam for dinner - they charge ridiculously expensive prices, but to be fair they told us that in advance and we still decided to use them! and they were very reliable.

Would definitely return for a weekend escape - beautiful, peaceful hotel and beach.

We recently stayed at Fair House for three nights and were unlucky enough not to be upgraded on our arrival - unlike so many of the other reviewers here - so perhaps it helps to be a regular contributor to Tripadvisor. Instead we were given a semi-detached garden villa next to the restaurant and pool. True to the photos, stylishly decorated with a great bathroom with large bathtub, I was however initially a little disappionted to see smeared glass, a stained sofa and scratched floor on arrival - I'm sure they have better villas - but didn't mention it as I do tend to notice these things more than my partner and well, we were on holiday. I threw a bed cover over the stained sofa - the worst offender.

Perhaps it is worth mentioning to readers who have not yet booked travel to Koh Samui that on first impressions from the ferry pier to Fair House, it is far from the picture island paradise painted by other reviewers. The road around the island is perhaps more accurately described as an extended tropical industrial estate with some restaurants and spas thrown in. Maenam itself and the road leading to Fair House is strewn with litter, derelict buildings and half constructed resorts. There are palms and the odd roaming buffalo and there is beauty, of course, but I wanted to stress this other reality here exactly because Fair House seems to put itself forward (in the copious reading material it provides with its rooms) as a bastion of an ecological/sustainability movement in Samui. An organic garden and a bit of coral is a good start, but if Fair House could ween itself off it's deisel generators (?) and make a start on cleaning up the surroundings and promote more environmental responsibility in Samui, I'm sure it would go a long way in safeguarding it's own future and this reviewer for one would be happy to return and spend his holiday money on the island.

Anyway, the hotel itself has very well maintained grounds and it is exceptionally easy to forget about the envionmental destruction of Samui whilst lounging near the pool listening to the sea. It's true that there are a few loose tiles in the swimming pool but the water is fresh and not over clorinated, it never gets too busy and it's even possible to do laps in the morning or throughout the day. The swim up bar and the 2 for 1 cocktails at happy hour were great on the first day and we managed to coach a good mojito (with a decent amount of crushed fresh mint) out of the barman after being served an atrocious one in the bar the night before. The barmen are pretty cool guys and the staff in the restaurant and on reception very friendly. The cleaners great you so respectfully when walking around it can even feel a little too much.

I have to say that we found the restaurant food (Pad Thai / Thai red curry) to be no better than what you can buy in one of the more common road side restaurants, but more than ten times the price with service charge and tax on top. The white wine served by the glass - there was only one whilst we were there - was really also quite poor. My partner thought it was fish oil on the glasses that made it taste so bad but I couldn't tell. Oh, and the five euro bottles of (desalinated) water in the room were also not so welcome, especially when the reading material tells you not to drink the tap water and you're only given a small bottle free each afternoon. Having said this, we thought the breakfast represented good value for money and the setting is just wonderful in the morning. A really great way to start the day!

The free minibus to Chaweng and our following hotel was really also greatly appreciated given the situation with the taxis on Samui. We found ourselves missing our comfortable villa, the great pool, breakfast and peaceful surroundings in the following days.

On the whole, Fair House is a beautiful resort with great staff that nevertheless fails to hit the mark on a number of points.

Room Tip: The first one next to the restuarant and pool is a little worn.
