“Tourist trap”

dont waste your time with those tours. They will bring you to overcrowded beaches and to snorkel in a dirty and polluted sea spot. they will ask you to pay before only because you wouldent pay at the end of the tour. avoid as pest!

“Worst speedboat boat ride ever!”
Reviewed December 28, 2013 via mobile

2 metre high waves on our speedboat ride from Koh Samui to Koh Nangyuan meant this was probably the worst trip we've done in Thailand. A third of passengers were throwing up and some people chose to get back to Samui by other means of transport. Staff were friendly enough and tried to lighten the mood by singing but unless you want a 4 hour rollercoaster ride you need to check the wave heights before you travel.

“Not all smooth sailing”
Reviewed December 28, 2013 via mobile

A few things to remember if doing the Aungthung day tour.
1.you are going out into open sea so the water, unsurprisingly, may be quite rough
2. The winter months may also lead to rougher areas as it is a bit windy

We had a different experience than the last reviewers. We were picked up promptly at our hotel, the boat left on time at 9 and got us to the first stop, for snorkeling, after about an hour. The sea was relatively calm but the snorkeling was disappointing in the amount and varieties of fish at the stop.

We then moved on to another island for a kayak trip on the sea around to another bay which wasn't too tough and quite fun.

Included was lunch on the beach with a curry, vegetables and rice with fruit and then got to relax an hour on the beach.

The final stop was to another island where we did a fairly sharp walk up some dodgy looking steps to see a lagoon which was pretty.

Around 3 we went back and the weather had deteriorated a little and now the waves were rough. I found the crew really helpful and concerned and had sick bags ready for those in need and also made sure everyone was sat down to remain safe as the speedboat bounced up and down in the large waves.

A couple of people were sick but most of us enjoyed the fun of the waves and laughed it off. If you are prone to sea sickness then this may not be the trip for you.

Overall a fun day out.

Went to Ang Thong with this company. Very rough trip. Check on wave height before you go. Check windguru.cz or others-- expect a rough ride if wave height is more than .5m
Trip left 15 min late got back 45 min early

“Dangerous!! ”
Reviewed December 2, 2013 via mobile

We booked a trip, not really knowing what to expect. We went with a speedboat to ang thong, national marine parc. The speedboat had space for maybe 35 people and we were with 44!! The waves were 4 meters high and it was the most horrific experience in my life. Vomit everywhere, people crying and screamimg. The guids laughing.

Eventually we arrived at the first island, but because off the bad weather (??!?) we couldn't go snorkeling, swimming or kajaking! And we couldn't go to the other islands either! So we only had lunch, no one would eat because they were afraid to vomit again.

Then 2 hours later wewent back. They told us we could get our money back at the hotel, but we didn't! And their office was so far away it would cost us about the same price the trip cost us. They are THIEVES! (And should burn in hell).

All my love, Chris
