“Friendly and relaxed”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 26, 2012

We arrived on the late ferry and were made very welcome by the hosts. Most days we went on day excursions and they were great at organising taxis, a rental car and a snorkelling trip for us. The rooms are spacious and cool, though there was only one working remote control for the air-con between our two rooms. The restaurant is very low key but the food was tasty and convenient. The pool was fantastic and the property offered a number of spots to lie in a hammock or on a lounger. Other guests seemed happy to enjoy the venue as a 'resort' while we were more interested in it as a base from which to get around the island.

A very good accomodation in reliance to the price. Huge bungalows, with everything you need. A little far to the beach (10 min walk), but great for relaxation. Very welcoming staff, and the owner is quite a character. They rent out motorbikes for 180baht if you dont like to walk.

This hotel definately exceeded our expectations. We arrived after a hard journey and were not dissapointed, this hotel perked us right up and we were sad to leave.
The staff on arrival were just lovely, so friendly and helpful! They even helped with our thai vocabulary! And the lady who runs the hotel sent our laundry off for us free of charge and they can sort any trips you need.
The room was perfect. Huge, with lots of windows, powerful aircon, biggest bed i've ever seen and a beautiful large airy bathroom. The room was immaculate and so well presented. There was a swimming pool cleaned daily and felt like bath water.
The food at the hotel is lovely and reasonably priced also.
It is so close to the shops and beach - only about 6 minute walk, no hills and well lit at night.
The only reason we left this place is due to the location. The location is good if you want a relaxing holiday but it just wasn't great for us as we wanted some nightlife.
We hope to return if we come back through Mae Nam soon!

We turned up at the resort after looking at the pictures online- it really is just like the pictures! Massive room with tv, fridge and AC massive comfortable bed and large hotwater bathroom, pool and spa for 800B. Since moving to a different part of samui we realise now this is excellent value. The service was warm and friendly and we felt right at home. They lose points from me for housekeeping. We were told every other day, we stayed for 5 nights and the room was cleaned on day 2 only. I wouldn't normally mind this at all but your not allowed to flush used paper down the toilet. 3 days of toilet paper waste festering away in the bathroom is a little grim plus being so close to the beach, sand does get everywhere. My only other negative comment is the dogs, they're not aggressive but they do like to make a racket. Barking and howling at all hours did wake us up a couple of times. Town and the beach is a 15 min stroll away which didn't bother us at all because we like being away from the noise. If your around on a Thursday don't miss out on the night market- lovely local treats and 50B cocktails! Arrive early as the stalls start shutting down around 9pm. Overall the samui native is a beautiful place to stay and we thoughrouhly enjoyed our stay.

This place feels like it's far from the town when you're driving down the windy back roads but it is in fact about 10/15mins walk to Mae Nam town and everything you need with a night market in a Thursday. You can also hire motorbikes from the hotel for about £3 /24 hours. This hotel is run by a cool British couple and feels very homely and family-friendly. Our room was huge and it had a cool outdoorsy sort of bathroom, although remember not to put paper down the toilet because we forgot and they took a few days to unblock it! If you're afraid of bugs and lizards it may not be for you as we found a cockroach on our bed when we came back for the night and lizards regularly get in, however, it didn't bother us too much.

The hotel is very quiet and you can make friends easily with the other people staying there. The pool is a good size and very clean and is never too busy. The rooms are like small cottages giving it a homely feel and there's a very friendly little Thai girl running around who we figured belonged to one of the ladies who ran the restaurant. The food in the restaurant varies depending on who cooks it but is generally pretty good, especially the Pad Thai. Unfortunately the dogs were a little too eager to play guard-dog and I thought I was going to be bitten a couple of times, although the owner assured me that they don't.

The beach was lovely and quiet with no one trying to sell us watersport packages and good view to Phangan. Chill Out Cafe, just down the beach is great; nice food, good cocktails, friendly servers and decent music. A seafood restaurant just on the corner as you get onto the beach is wonderful; the manager speaks very good English and the Thai food was some of the best we've ever had. Angela's cafe and Bakery (right at the traffic lights when coming to Mae Nam from the hotel) does decent breakfasts with huge pancakes.
Generally a very well-located and cared-for little resort!

The room is huge!!
With a big double bed and clean sheets, aircon, skyTV, fridge, big bathroom. The decor and furnishing- including the bathroom are well above the price range expectaiton!
Yes there are lots of windows but this is surely a good thing as it lets in lots of natural light and its not like there aren't curtains for when you need privacy!!!
Its in a peaceful beautiful setting- away from all the big brash lifeless resorts. Its a 10 minute walk through the jungle and past the locals houses and shines to the chaos of the main road. The locals will offer you rides to the main road on the back of the moped. The grounds are like one big hibiscus garden! All the chalets surround a wonderful pool. Sitting in the pool at sunset listening to the birds is pure bliss.
It was low season when i stayed, and not many other guests about. I'm not sure if families stay- and if it'd be quite as peaceful if there are kids screaming around.....
The female owner is wonderful- she even did my washing at no cost- and when I finally left she took me to the ferry on her mopod.
If you want peace and serentiy, stay here you'll not be disapointed.

Me and my partner stayed here for 3 nights at first where we were greeted by the owners and shown to our room, we were also given complementary water which was nice. We chose to stay here purely because of the reviews on this place by many, Big room and bathroom, pool etc all for a decent price. We were not to be dissapointed...

The room is huge!! With a big and clean Double bed, TV, fridge, big bathroom, yes- there are lots of windows but this is surely a good thing as it lets in lots of natural light and its not like there arn't curtains for when you need privacy!!!

The owners are great, really friendly and always happy to talk to you! The resort is about a 10 minute walk to the main road where there are restaurants etc. and the beach is only another 3 minutes down the road from there!

The restaurant at the resort is not only fairly priced but really tasty too- no complaints what so ever! The wifi is fantastic, it works perfectly around the bar and pool area and we have been using it alot during the day and evening!

Overall, if your looking to get away for a relaxing few days or a break from the hustle and bustle of the busier areas in Samui this place is perfect!!

After our 3 nights we took a taxi to Chaweng but found that area so overpriced we ended up booking another 2 nights at Samui native resort as we had such a good experience the first time round!!

Big thanks!!
