“Very good location and impecable hospitality”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 1, 2012

Family of 5 + 2 kids
Jane the reservation manager was fantastic
We were worried about mosquitos since we have a 1 year baby and they took care to spray the area before we've arrived
Sue, the person in charge of the Villa was very nice. She took care of car rentals, reservations for taxi, tips with restaurants, etc etc. She would come every day to our Villa to check if every thing was going well
The Villa is within minutes by car from Fisherman's Village and very close by The Farmer's restaurant, voted by Amex one of the Best Thai Restaurants in 2011
The pool in front of the beach, which by the way was very very nice, was very convenient
No complains and only excellent memories

Room Tip: If you have 4 couples the front villa is the best - While staying in the Villa right next to it with...

After my first visit I never stopped dreaming about going there again. This time it was a family outing and I had the chance to relive and share my first wonderful experience. We all loved it, the Heliconia Villa was our home away from home. The interior of the villa is given much thought, the living area and the rooms are beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you might need and the beds are perfect. We felt very welcome. The service was excellent and the staff bends over backwards to make one feel happy and special. The professional and friendly Resort Manager Sue was always there for us and organized our transports, dinner reservations and the in-house massages. Nothing was impossible. The set up of the resort is brilliant, the garden with the beautiful Frangipani and many other plants and flowers, the poolside, the quiet and clean beach, the blue sea, the spectacular sunsets and the villas make it easy to relax and enjoy every minute. Bophut, Chaweng and other interesting but busy places are not too far away and coming back home to Lotus Terrace stands for finding the perfect “oasis in the desert". Back home I will now dream about my next stay there and I will make sure that it will happen sooner than later. We stayed only 4 days (15.02. to 19.02.2012) and my personal recommendation is: stay at least a week to enjoy this place and its surroundings to the fullest.

Where do you start? It has to be the staff who are uniformly friendly, helpful and efficient. They really care and it shows.
Lotus Terraces is fabulous boutique resort with nice location. Far enough from Chaweng to feel relaxed, but close enough to Bophut and Fisherman's Village for a nice night out.
Resort manager Sue, will make you so welcome and is extremely professional and personable.
Our Heliconia villa was beautiful, with a lovely big living room and balcony with sea view. Good powerful aircon keeps it deliciously cool. Daily refreshing of all the towels and toiletries.
We arrived with 3 months old baby and the staff made our vacation as comfortable and enjoyable as it possibly could be.
Stayed at many 5* resorts and Lotus Terraces is up there with the best of them. Great value for money and would certainly return when next in Samui.

Stayed from 30th November to 10th December 2011.

My family and I spend 7 wonderful days from Jan-21 2012 in the lotus terrace Heliconia Villa. It happened to be Chinese New Year during these days. As Chinese, it was amazing experience to spend the most important holiday abroad. The staffs are kind and hospitality. Jane made the villas reservation smooth and easy. Manager Sue give us great help on renting car, tourist attraction recommendation, booking trip on the island etc., Sea took good care of us, preparing breakfast, keep the house neat, and help us preparing cooking by ourselves.
The villas is well-equipped, the kitchen, living room, bed room, furniture everything are gorgeous. The main pool is next to the beach we can choose either the swimming pool or the beach. The beach is quiet and beautiful. The location of the villas is not in busy area, a little bit far from Changweng where the busiest area on the island is, but it’s peaceful. By renting a car it’s easy to go anywhere from the villa since the road on Samui is not complex. Fisherman's Village is good place to go especially the Friday night market where has lots of restaurants, souvenir shops and peddlers.
If you want the peaceful place for your vacation the lotus terrace is strongly recommended.

In Oct 2011 we went to thailand for a family holiday and spent 10 days at the Banyan Villa. 7 adults and 3 kids together for the first time. it was such a fantastic holiday and what made it so good was the welcoming and caring staff. the villa was lovely, it had everything we needed.Everyone had their own space if they wanted it and the kids loved having their own pool plus the resort pool and a fantastic beach to swim in every day. its such a quiet beach it feels like your own.

Thanks to Jane, Sue and everyone for making it such a wonderful experience and going above and beyond when we needed assistance.

The food cooked by Nan was amazing and to help out in the kitchen and learn new dishes was a real highlight.

i am now starting to plan our next trip so we will see you all again soon.

My 3 girlfriends and I did a weekend getaway to Koh Samui. The stay at the Lotus terraces was all that we could ask for...beautiful property, virgin beaches scattered with coral, lovely service! Sue the property manager was ALWAYS there for us with a smile catering to all of our requests..some so late in the day but she still managed it all.
The property was beautiful...the gardens were beautifully landscaped and the villas were anointed tastefully. A special mention would go to the kitchen..it is any chef's dream..well stocked with all amenities and appliances.
Food was not included in the stay; however one could ask for a chef to come in and cook. We did not avail this. Instead we discovered a shack 10 minutes walk down the beach. The Thai food there was authentic and yummy! I'd recommend it any day over the fancy restaurants that are advertised all over Koh Samui!
And yes, you can ask Sue to arrange masseurs ..what can i say...they are a very talented lot. All of us girls had massages daily given that they were so economical and good!
All in all, I plan to return there again with the family.

  • Liked — Everything!
  • Disliked — The water bodies around the villa may make it unsafe for little kids !

I visited the Lotus Terraces fist time in November 2008 and I was then impressed by the place, the staff and the atmosphere. It came at no surprise that The Lotus Terraces was the obvious choice for my recent Christmas and NYE holiday in Koh Samui with mine and my wife's families. Not only I found the same relaxing atmosphere with the gorgeous villas and pools, but-hard to believe- the service was even better than the last time. Throughout our 10-day stay we were pampered by all the staff, always ready to smile and to help out. The Manager Sue was available 24/7 assisting us for every kind of request we had: whether to recommend a restaurant in town, or to arrange the in-villa chef dinner (strongly recommended), or to book a diving tour or the amazing in-villa massage sessions, Sue is always available and happy to help, making recommendations and sorting everything out for you. The big breakfast is prepared every morning and the kind and smiling staff cleans up the villa every day with absolute discretion. We booked both the 3-bedroom Frangipani and the 2-bedroom Gardenia place, they are both luxury furnished villas. Also there are a number of basic but excellent Thai restaurants just next door which is very convenient if you want to have a more local feeling without the hassle of transportation to other towns. I wouldn't look any further for a place to stay in Koh Samui, as the Lotus Terraces is in my opinion the best resort in the island.
