We booked one night here at the tourist info desk at the jetty and ended up extending for two more nights. The area is quiet but still has heaps of great restaurants and bars in walking distance.

The villas are nice and clean and the bed is comfy (hard bed like most in asia) the 'open bathroom' has a few mozzies buzzing about, just keep the door closed and they will stay out of the room.

The beach here is lovely, not as many people as the more popular Chaweng ... But just as pretty.

Staff are very laid back and friendly, we felt very welcome.

The breakfast is simple but nice ... Fruit and a staff member will cook you eggs.

Room tip: The Sea View restaurant around the corner is good value for money and the food is pretty darn nice.

Is fair value for the price I paid. Massage is a must try there as the staff is really skillful. Other staff are helpful and friendly too. Beach is quiet and peaceful. Just one thing no good is the open bathroom for the room I stayed. Whenever I was in the bathroom, I sure get bite by the mosquito. If the mosquito net is installed, this resort will be perfect. The reason for that much of mosquito is because of the pond which the water is almost stagnant, if this problem can be solved, this hotel is for sure perfect! Remember don't try the Arun@samui restaurant which walking distance 8min from this hotel, you will for sure regret as the food lousy and price expensive! Food inside this hotel is expensive too but still taste better than Arun@samui.

Booked to go here via agoda for a week with my partner. As soon as we arrived we loved it. The rooms are modern and stylish, and there is a nice pool to relax by. More importantly, it is a stones throw from the beach, which is much nicer than others on the island, at least in terms of overcrowding. The breakfast is also decent, although the coffee isn't great. The people who work here are all very nice, and extremely helpful. All in all, a great stay.

We stayed at the Hutcha for a week - the staff, our room, the ease of the whole place is superb! If you want a quieter place in Koh Samui go for this, if you want to feel relaxed have one of their amazing Thai massages! I cannot fault this place, it was exactly what we wanted.

We stayed at the Hutcha resort for 4 nights in July. We treated ourselves to a Riverside Villa which was superb. It was huge with a separate dressing area and excellent sized bathroom and shower. The staff were so helpful especially Katai and Tor who really do go out of their way to make you so welcome. The hotel is right on a great beach and it has it's own beach bar with a very friendly bar man. The area is quieter than the bigger resorts of Lamai for example however has a great night market on a Thursday and not far down the road by a short taxi ride is the Fishermans Village which has a great night market on a Friday. The food was excellent some of the best we had and drink prices very reasonable. The pool area was great and also a massage lady is based by the pool which was very good.
Would definately recommend and will definately return.
