They are right on the beach and not far from the airport. The apartments are family friendly and would recommend the Penthouse if you need more space and a better view. The shared pool is small but was okay for the kids.
Derrick the Concierge made sure we enjoyed every moment of our stay, he made the planning and organizing of our activities accordingly this was very helpful and took a load of burden away. And of course all the friendly staff who made our stay even more enjoyable. Definitely a come back!!!
Stayed at one of the apartments with direct access to the beach. Location is great. Thought first that the relative closeness to the airport (20 minutes drive) would be disturbing - but no worries - you will not even notice.
service from resort manager and staff was fantastic. Helped us with arranging activities and dinners etc. Taxi's are readily available (if youre not renting a car) for limited amount of cash and will enable you to go to super markets, restaurants and neigbouring hotels (if you for some reason wants to). The selection of restaurants might be somewhat limited but not of a major concern. We really liked the relaxed life at the beach but the kit surfers and the motorboats sometimes can get a little bit to close to people swimming and snorkling.
Do take a round tour of the Island, the water falls (especially Rochester falls) and the Grand Bassin. Try the Catamaran and of course snorkling. Ile aux Aigrettes is worth a visit.
At our visit (we celebrated Christmas and New Year) there was one day out of 14 that was lost due to rainy weather (although the skin didnt mind). The resort had a somewhat restricted view on how often to do towel changes - perhaps it was just the time of the year? We will miss the clear waters and the sound of the breaking waves against the reef's in the distance.
