There is a Karaoke Bar across the street that blasts a huge racket till 1 am. Even inside our room with the windows closed, the noise was incredible - we were dead tired, but sleep was impossible before the bar closed. The rooms smell of smoke. The staff were unhelpful to the point of rude. My wife left a dress in the closet when we left (our mistake to be sure), but when we called to try to get it back, it was gone - presumably someone on the cleaning staff has it. Only the daytime clerk has a solid command of English. I should probably admit that Didim is the only place in Turkey I didn't really like: it is a honky tonk town with no charm and lots of British pubs but no decent restaurants in the beach area. I suppose if you smoke and plan on staying out at bars till 1 AM, you might fit right in and some of the rooms have a very good view of the ocean and beach. I would definitely go further down the beach to a quieter hotel if I had any choice, but if you must stay here, try to get a room high up and facing directly towards the ocean, and as far as possible from the bars.
